Why mini albums are selling more than full albums?

Cause for fans it literally doesnt matter, it's about supporting the artist. A better question is why are albums selling at all in 2021 when everyone is streaming music

Coz a lot of songs u see on full albums are already released on mini albums.

Not every company does something different enough with full albums for them to sell more. Fans don't buy albums for the music, so more songs isn't going to make you sell more on its own.

Sales correlate with other things more (length of time between the comebacks and impact/popularity of the previous release being the biggest ones in my mind)

bc its cheaper, well at least for me its easier to buy mini albums

sometimes a full album it is just full of filling songs

when in mini albums the quality is better

But do you know the prices of albums other than EXO's? I never looked at the difference but I won't be surprised EXO minis are the same price as full albums because SM loves to use Exols buying power. Not that it's the norm.

Because people buy Kpop albums not for the amount songs but for the photocards, photobook etc.

And since there's no difference in the fan content between a mini and a full album then duh, it will sell the same

I feel like it has to do with fandom growth since the time frame between a full album and mini album can sometimese be long.

YES obviously! That is what albums are for, but first I have to get the thing that plays the CD.

And technically my family is loaded but most of our money is in land in India, meaning to get that money we have to sell the land. Which we haven't yet.

And the rest is pretty much for daily use,savings, and in my grandma's hands.

So basically my family is loaded, but at the same time your average middle class family because most of the money comes from land that we own etc(basically money we haven't got yet), not my parent's salary.

Also my family are hella cheap. My parents will return something and buy it again if the price goes down by 2 dollars. And I don't have an allowance.

gotcha...but that land is earning money from rent right? I mean your parents earn money from people being on their land or is the land empty or something?

gotcha it's hard being a kid growing up in a "frugal" family but it will teach you the value of money
