I find it so interesting that horror movies/games use jumpscares fairly often despite the fact people rag on them all the time... I suppose it's because it's easier than doing something a bit more thought out. I personally like it when horror gets a bit more psychological.

Come to think of it, maybe I don't like horror as much as I like psychological thriller as a genre.
Some of my favorite thrillers are Searching and Mystic River because the plots are so meticulously planned. They really get you thinking and feeling something beyond just being startled every now and then.

Anime horror is kinda cool. I've seen Perfect Blue and was intrigued by most of it, but I didn't find it that scary.

Yes, I do love horror and every thing about the genre itself. Been watching horror films and shows since I was little and never been scared of any of them.
