Can you name a personal positive and negative experience of the K-POP section in AKP?

Positive : get to meet ppl in the fandom

Negative: my faves get dogpiled, trolled, punching bags of kpop fans almost every time

Positive: everyone is trying to protect their "internet image" so most people here are kind of nice which ofc isn't their real color.

Negative: Everyone is sensitive asf and can't take honest opinions

positive: seeing the threads of my fellow guild members

negative: being in the kpop section

Positive : I’ve discovered that multi stans are the best types of fans on here, they just want everyone to succeed and do well, of course there are a few bad apples but in general, my best experiences have been with multi stans on this site.

Negative: There’s too much gate keeping and the cult mentality is strong here. I’ve seen users go after other users that are apart of the same fandom just because they have different opinions. Just because you like an artist, you don’t need to like every song they produce and disliking it doesn’t make you a ‘fake fan’. Some really act like there’s a whole ass guideline book to being a fan and unless you follow that book, they’ll gatekeep you.

Positive: more than an year ago in the old forum, I met some of the only people I like and would call my friends here. We used to have a lot of fun in the old forum and everything was sunshine daisies and unicorn. They might not be active on akp now but we still talk.

Negative: I dislike everyone and everything else here so that

I do have one user in mind who's just so hateful that it made me re think some things about kpop and fans culture

Wow I couldn't agree more with the negative part, users just band together and attack the opposite user/fandom because they get triggered easily.

Positive - I get to know many songs that I love from other acts besides my faves

Negative - dealing with akp users with negative energy. Sometimes it’s amusing but sometimes I just don’t bother to read their quotes on my posts lol

Positives:

There are some really chill, funny people on here. The what kpop song are you listening to thread, that’s the most chill thread lol, it will always be my favorite in the kpop section. Also some interesting/fun threads are made.

Negatives:

I feel like there’s so much tension all the time and sometimes the fights go too far. Its just very negative overall sometimes

Positives: Got to know like minded people and discover new kpop songs aside from my faves'

Negatives: Seeing BTS bashed, discredited, achievements belittled by Kpoppies while they hyped their faves' achievements.

Positive: I get to discover some new songs and nice people outside of my fandom. The song battles are quite fun too.

Negative: the unnecessary shade and trolling.

Positive: Finding new music

Negative: K-poppers

positive: helps me keep up to date with news and new music, the occasional funny person who will make me laugh, helps me expand my views and opinions and educates me on some things as well as giving me interesting insights.

negative: people generalising whole fandoms and dragging groups, unnecessary shade, casual hate and trolling, general negativity and rudeness, the anon section as a whole.

this is not the case for the whole site, though. it depends who you talk to and how you act/reply.

Positive: My threads and positive threads about my faves

Negative: Other people's threads that arent positive about me faves

Positive expirience:

I made a few friends on here that I adore, it's fun to make discussion threads and see a wide variety of answers to them.

Negative expirience:

Certain fans are way too sensitive and try to find hate and twist even the mildest of sentences and crucify you for it. Like looking for hate to blow up where there is none. It's ok if people don't love your idol. Indifference or dislike =/= grudge or hate.
