Yesss I remember that happened to a Chinese idol, his name is Xiao Zhan

Not Kpop, but Chinese celebrities are suffering a lot (in general, but also) due to the actions on their fans and are being punished for fanwars right now.

Turn against their idol: Sungmin, Chen

Mess up their career: , XiaoZhan, Zheng Zhihan (C-entertainment). What he got is what Seungri should get + jail time.

P.S. Right now it seems that Chinese celebs have to apologize if their fans messed up, caused fanwars, etc. Even last year, the girl from Youth with You, Esther Yu, have to apologize because her fans doxxed a hate commenter who called her (Esther) a deadbeat's daughter.

A lot fans and casual listener of VIXX got kinda mad on the fucked up translation and edit someone made to one of his Twitch-streams wich at the end made Hongbin quit VIXX People went all out like "Why is someone like him even an idol?" and "Such a snitch, why does he talks like this?" but he never even said rude things about other idols, especially not the groups used in that freaked up edit that got viral on the internet because people thought he dissed a lot groups like SHINee even tho he is friends with the member and ... Hongbin got depressed from all the hate he got from some dude's freaked up edit and so he decided to leave VIXX

And only after it came out that some guy faked all of this by making a shit edit of the whole stream fans begun to be like "oh wow I'm sorry" ... even tho a lot of them got mad at Hongbin before ...

The moment male idols date, their saesangs do exposes on them lol

Also Cheng Xiao sort of turned the general public against her because she took part in a really disrespectful E-sports drama whose author not only plagiarized the work but based characters on real people without their permission and painted them in a weird light so the GP was angry at her and even some fans were angry at her and her agency for choosing that role for her.

I dont know about making it worse but didn’t fans turn on Jimin and AOA during this ongoing Mina scandal

Oh I forgot but she's in a lot of mess. People are saying she's just not that talented but is "taking" roles from actual decent actresses due to her alleged boyfriend, billionaire Wang Sicong. From what I've seen, most of the GP who even know of her don't believe that she's getting the roles and castings due to her own merit but through him, hence the dislike for her (plus, they say she really can't act). What worries me for her and makes me feel sorry for her is that she allegedly started dating him when she was 19 and he 31. That's a big age difference and such a big difference in power between them. I've also seen melons and gossip that she's hard to work with and not a nice person. I always hope those things are not true.

It's more of like AOA fans going to Mina's instagram calling her a liar and that she is out to destroy Jimin's career. At that time the public heavily sided Mina and the fact that AOA fans kept bombarding her with comments made Jimin and the entire AOA look worse

Fans were wrong to do so. But fast forward to now, they were actually right about it and that after certain things were revealed it really did expose that Mina really did lie about many things and really is out to just destroy Jimin's career.

Not saying that it was right for them to do so because no one should be attacking or sending malicious comments. But weirdly enough the fans were right about the situation all along, or at least now it seems like it after the revelations

Many already mentioned him, but Xiao zhan's case was insane. His fans destroyed his carreer in his most popular moment, made china mainland close off AO3 for the whole country, ... that was some wild shit. Even some big outlets in my country talked about it.

Kind of insane how he got back on his feet.
