Fandoms play a huge role in what props up celebrity culture and gives them a platform. Celebs depend a lot on them. Fans do a lot of work for the benefit of the idols/celebs. Personally I wouldn't even care about kpop if not for funny fan content on YouTube. They make them go viral, sell out stuff or spend money outta their own pocket to promote their idols/celebs. So this got me thinking if there ever was an opposite case where a fandom kinda made things worse for a celebrity.
Edit: I mean something like the Xiao zhan case. Like the fans messed up and landed him in a soup or something like the idol messed up and the fans turned against them. Something uncommon.
