Fired Chicken place always has a coleslaw side. It goes together nicely.

I hated coleslaw for years and years because raw bitter onions, too much cheap Mayo, bleeeeeeccchhh.
My definition of coleslaw has expanded rather, particularly since I did private party catering for a few years and had to make buckets of the stuff.
I like a light pickled slaw not dressed with Mayo and heavy on the fresh herbs and I like it when the onions are treated properly and cured slightly before mixing so it is less acrid. I like buttermilk/yoghurt mix mayo, with more red cabbage rather than white cabbage, maybe with some maple and roasted walnuts or pecans. If it floats your boat, I like to mix it with more of a ranch style dressing and crunchy bacon bits.
Tldr - I realised I like it if I make it myself! :-D

Yes, but I prefer when it's sweet. I don't like savory coleslaw whatsoever.
It's usually a BBQ place that serves it but I can like the rest of the food but if the coleslaw isn't sweet, I won't eat it.
