I mean most of us judge the song first to determine whether we like it or not correct?
then think huh that could have done with more seconds/minute etc etc but if we didn't like the song in the beginning then no matter the length it's still not a good song no?
True, personally I didn't like the outro & imo could have benefited from a more BOMBASTIC ending in the vein of FY with actual chorus u know... Instead of whatever duhm duhm duhm is... Lol
I don't have a problem with the time of the song as long as It well used.
For example, God's Menu has 2:40, but It seems like It's longer, because every single second is well used.
My problem with Somi's song is that they built a hype through the song and It hasn't a highest point. When It seems it will reach that point, the song ends.

That's a valid point
Some songs exist to be below 3mins long & it still works
It's so hard to make listener forget they are listening to a 3:30 minute song....
I mean, You need catchy, addictive Melody as well some interesting structure sections to keep listener's attention.
If the song is short, it usually means 2 things :-
1. They couldn't extend it's length because they ran out of ideas.
2. They couldn't extend its length because otherwise the song will start to drag.
sonng length matters less when the song feels complete, for example HYLT. It has proper two verses, two chorus, bridge and outro. If HYLT is dragged longer, it would feel draggy and it doesnt need a repeptitive 3rd chorus either. The outro already summed up the song pretty well
Only when songs feel incomplete, song length matter because that means producer either cut out some part of songs for commercial value. For teddy's songs, they still have all the necessary element, means he did not cut any element/structure but he does cut them short i guess, esepcially outro part. Both somi's WYWF and Dumb Dumb has the outro being built to climax and then the songs suddenly end without a good conclusion.
If any producer starts to cut chorus, or bridge, or even verses that would worry me. Example see Ariana's test drive which is barely 2 mins. A big waste of a good song.
At this juncture, kpop overall is still healthy.
I always think that the bigger the better... I would love a 12'' kpop song. 
But lets be honest, most songs are not engaging for more than 3min. Not everyone can write an I GOT A BOY.

i time lots of my daily activities to the song i’m listening to at that time, so i’m in favor of longer songs
I prefer songs over 3:30. Songs under 3:00 start to feel short.
Although it's nothing new because a lot of songs from the 50s and 60s are under 3:00 and even under 2:30, starting from the 70s songs got longer. And now songs are getting shorter again. Back then, I assume it was due to limited mixing techniques. Nowadays, it's due to streaming.
