It's a real menace to music imo
"songs length"
It's no secret the trend in the west now is to make songs as short as possible to get max streaming value
Current #1 song on Global Spotify & Apple Music is only 2:20 long....
Unfortunately that trend has impacted K-pop with Teddy being the biggest culprit in my pov
His newest production (Somi's new single) clocks in at 2:30 long...
BP flagship 2020 single was only 3:01 long...
I fear for the 2021 single...
I hate it.
I loathe it.
This trend is one of those worst things to happen to music...
Give me full fleshed musical compositions that clock in at 3:30 (D4 & aiiyl) or even 4:01 (Boombayah & Forever Young)
Song length is something that has started bothering me since 2019(KTL being 3:15) then hylt being even worse
I fear the worst but still hope we can get a 3:20 single as opposed to 2:50 this year...
