The Total Streams included Youtube, Spotify and Melon
Since only three streaming services were considered, it's not a true "total" per se then. Now I'm curious, what percentage of actual total streams do you think YouTube+Spotify+Melon represent?

Hmmm... good point.
for korean acts there is obviously all the other platforms of which we only have public streams from Genie .
than there is also AM in which we really have no public numbers for korean acts except the fact that we know BTS surpassed 1B total streams on AM in late 2018.
i would say maybe around 80-95% is from those three for korean acts..... what do you think?

That actually sounds a bit high to me. According to this article, "Melon, operated by Kakao, has been losing market share since last September when it recorded 36.8 percent". Thus, Melon isn't nearly as big of a player as it was in the past.
In addition, the YouTube numbers appear to be for video streams only, and so audio streams from YouTube Music (which is rapidly gaining market share in South Korea) aren't counted.
Streaming services popular in Japan (e.g. Amazon, Apple, Line) and China (e.g. QQ, Baidu, Tencent) aren't included, and those two countries are major K-pop consumers.
Also, I found this graphic:

I agree that Genie streams should be included.
Spotify, Youtube & Melon I guess cover more than 90% of streams.
But I know that collecting Genie stats is too much hassle. I have tried it sometimes.
Take this article as a reference if you're gonna do it : https://www.allkpop.com/articl…dol-groups-in-south-korea

streaming wasn't a big thing back in 2nd gen, downloads were used for a big hit, same as youtube views and especially spotify, so not surprised the top groups in 2nd gen don't have that many streams

Exo's mass streaming on Melon helped them ranked higher on the streaming chart lol, Kokobop with 700m melon streams but not one streaming certification make this quite innacurrate but still very well done, congrats.
This is my problem with using melon necuase of exos skewed mass fan streaming tho I know its the easiest to use for this

The chart includes Tencent, but no QQ.
