Seungri denies all the related charges and even submitted additional receipts...

  • people will and can still have opinions of him as a sleazy dude or dodgy or creepy or just a bad person...

(if he is found not guilty)

remember that (assuming Korean courts and laws are similar to the wests) not guilty does not mean he didn't do it...

It could mean: there is lack of evidence, he is innocent, they failed to meet the burden beyond a reasonable doubt etc etc

Exactly. There are a lot of technicalities that can make a case fail in court that have nothing to do with whether he committed the crime or not. And a "not guilty" verdict is NOT the same as "innocent."

In the court of public opinion, look at how quickly people are going "he has receipts! he denied the charges!" So? He's obscenely wealthy, of course he's denying the charges. Submitting something to the court for consideration and not admitting guilt is not the same thing as even being legally found "not guilty."

and that's what i always say is that the court decides guilt or not, we you I decide on a person's character and that is probably more important in this regard (regardless of the verdict)

but remember that if he is deemed not guilty to then not any false information about the case itself (or Seungri as it pertins to the "crimes" because I think that might be grounds for defamation...

  • its rlly interesting that people think "innocent until proven guilty" holds the same sentiment in a case where there was definitely some police collusion and tampering along the way. burning sun was allowed to be cleared out before proper investigation, yge was able to dispose of computers full of files prior to investigation. seungri weaseled his way out of all prior charges so the prosecutors are trying to stick him with whatever they can because its obvious he was involved in all of this. he's not some average joe they're trying to frame. he's a multi-millionaire who has his hands all over some very nefarious things. he was just lucky enough to either not leave any fingerprints behind or to have them wiped clean for him.

    who's your favorite artist?

  • Frankly I don't even remember what his charges were to begin with.

Seungri has been indicted on eight charges including purchase of prostitution services, prostitution mediation, embezzlement, violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (an additional charge for embezzlement of a sum exceeding a certain number), violation of the Food Sanitation Act, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, and violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes.

  • He is guilty as fuck and it is obvious to anyone who has been following the case without any bias. Not guilty verdict is just going to mean there was not enough evidence to declare him guilty.

Remember just knowing something and not doing anything about it when you clearly have the power to do so makes you part of that crime as well.
