How will bts benefit by doing this collab with coldplay?

Artists collabs to expand their artistic expressions and more diversity in their music. Both artists are successful and just want to collab. Not everything is about numbers

they'll attract armys from a different area of music I guess

they probably just like Coldplay and want to make music with them, probably just the joy of making music is enough for them

We get new music from BTS? Not to mention they can build connections in the industry like that.

And the next thing we know is Chris Martin writing/producing a song for BTS's future album. I'm manifesting this don't mind me

it makes them happy. they can make music with an artist they genuinely like for years.

I'm guessing this happened because of the Fix You cover. They said you can cover the song if you do a collab with us kinda thing. I don't think either benefits more. Both benefit in different ways. Bts gets exposed to more people who listen to coldplay and coldplay gets exposed to bts's fanbase. Win win

No they won't benefit

at this point they'll only benefit from a collab with a really huge relevant star with a different fanbase like the weeknd or bad bunny

if the song does well; it could be nominated for grammy awards i guess under group/ collab category. Although it would be shared between Coldplay and bts. Anyways BTS collaborated with Seo Taji in 2017(?) when SeoTaji group was already too old; even older than first gen kpop groups. And even if nothing else; this will only help make them more mainstream; in return they get more sponsorships and endorsements; and for future it will help their junior groups too.

They both benefit. BTS may score their first UK number 1 and Coldplay may score their first Japan number 1. Coldplay gets access to Bts fanbase and asian market whiles BTS gets into UK market.

Also two big bands collabing will have to give birth to some good music so it’s a win win
