But why wouldn't you try to help someone who slipped lol? It's not like you're their slave if you do.

Let's not pretend that the fandoms are all good, however. We should still try and hold the toxic ones in the fandom accountable for their actions. If too many people keep their opinions on kpop stans inside their head, then the actually bad stans will continue to feel validated. There are some good reasons that people have these generalizations in the first place after all. No matter how faulty they may be towards stans who are good.

Well, we can't just immediately shut down those opinions because they are valid and I think many kpop stans are two faced anyway and have a toxic side to them.

I understand why people get pissed off about it and it even bothers me a bit. But I think generalisations are more fair when it comes to kpop fandoms because of the high amount of bad circulating inside it. Like those thoughts and feelings came from a very valid place and many kpop stans pretend to be nice anyway to try and make those generalisations seem stupid.

Generalization happens with everything, countries, languages, other music styles... and it sucks but there would always be some stupid person that will believe it's real. I remember last year, kpop stans started to flood homophobic and xenophobic posts and people were like: "Omg so they are actually cool people" as if we weren't people before being kpop stans.

If someone says exol are toxic it doesn’t bother me at all. And I have no problem calling other fandoms toxic and generalizing them. Like who cares lol.

But if you’re talking about people in the real world who bully others over their interests that’s a different topic of conversation and you shouldn’t combine the two because they’re not the same.

She has been gratuitously insulted and excluded from a game just for being a Kpop fan. I don't think it's that weird to be upset about people reacting that way just because you have a specific interest.

By the way, I think you should change the title of the thread to "Can we talk about the generalization of Kpop fans" instead of "fandoms" because I feel some people take it as you being upset over people saying " Armys/Blinks/Armysblinks (or whatever specific fandom you are in) are toxic" while you are talking about the prejudices against Kpop fans in general if I understood you correctly.
