If you saw a wallet with a stack of cash and cards in it

I would give it to the police if it has any sort of identification (I guess the credit card is one). But if it doesn't I don't believe they would return it. If I saw the person who dropped it I would return it to them. If not, I would check for any business cards and call them. If it has zero identification, then, well, there's nothing I can do to find the owner.

Give to the police station, its someone whole wallet and cards.
If it was just like cash just lying in the street then that's going in my pocket.
What about giving the wallet and cards to police station? :rolleyes1:

Thats what I said I'll do in the first sentence, I think i typed to colloquially so it was misinterpeted.
Police Stations here to do return things like that with certain efficiency (in regards to the others things they do, it's debatable) , so it would be no issue to hand it in.

In the parking lot of a shopping center, I’ve already found a small purse filled with twenty-dollar bills and maybe even larger bills (didn’t want to look too much). I went to the help desk and turned it in. I’m just hoping the guy at the help desk didn’t keep it for himself. If the owner never got it back, I hope that money was used for a good cause.

You are such a good dude
I lost my wallet once in a festival on drinking too many cocktails.
The police called me up in a few days to take it back, all my money is gone but no card missing

They are together, so I know it belongs to the person whos wallet it is, so I cant take something when I know it belongs to that specific person especially if there's ID.
I'm very particular and weird about certain things like that, same with free cash, if I see someone drop it I'll hand it back to them.. If its just lying there on the street then it's mine lol

I once dropped my wallet at work and someone left it at the front desk for me to pick up. Sadly they (or somebody else) took all my money. I had no food for the rest of the week as I'd meant to go grocery shopping with that money. It was horrible and I'd never ever do that to anybody else. I'd bring the wallet to the nearest police station immediately.

It happened to me years ago, I was at McDo and saw a someone dropping his wallet outside. I stood up, fetched the wallet and ran after him to give it back.
Why did I do it?
I don't believe in gods or in the good of people but I believe in karma, so I hope if this is happening to me someone will react the same way as I do

I would hand it in as I was raised to be honest particularly with money. I actually found $40 on the floor of my local supermarket a couple of weeks ago and handed it in. Honesty got the better of me, the girl at the checkout was a bit surprised as most people would just keep it. That could’ve been a pensioner’s money and they needed it more than me.

try to call the person if there's some number in that wallet. if none, hand it in to authorities.
