Do Ear Piercings Close After Years?

They close up if you don't wear earrings no matter what the circumstances (I'm pretty sure), yes. But I don't know how long you can go without wearing them. I think that yours will have almost definitely closed after 5 years of not wearing them at all...

A couple of months ago I wore earrings for the first time in more than 15 years.

The holes were slightly blocked but they did not close. I could get the earrings in without problems.

The hole is no longer a wound if you wore earrings for several years and accordingly will never "heal".

They close up. I didn't wear any earrings for like 10 years and it closed up. I had to get mine repierced earlier this year!

Yeah they close up, both my brother had their ears pierced in their teens and not longer have the holes or anything.

It varies on time frame, the longer there's no piercing in them the more chance it will close. Although if you've worn earrings consistently for a long period of time several years or so I don't think they will.

Mine don't close (at least my first pair don't, the2nd, 3rd and 4th pair were done much later) as I've been wearing earrings for 31 years now.

Where do you even get ears pierced these days? If I gave to get them repierced I'll have to find a place.

I got mine pierced in a mall youth jewelry/accessory shop way back when. But I'm not familiar with where else you get it done.

You might be able to still put an earring but maybe a smaller one might be easier as the hole has shrunk and possible needs to be cleaned out.

Any piercing place will do it, if you know a tattoo and piercing parlour really. I mean i don't know if you have that store Claires accessories, they've always done ear piercings.

How come you're thinking about putting it back in?

I reopen my holes all the time. So they don't close completely over a few years.

Sounds like if I am the only ne who wears earrings constantly (or better said the majority of the time. I mean like at least 27/31 days a month and I also wouldn't want it to change cause I love wearing earrings and have like 4 right now (3 in the left, 1 in the right))
