I'm beginning to think that the girls are are actually quite content with these modeling gigs. I'm positive Somi and Jennie are. I think the reason why Somi got out of JYPE was because her and her family saw how JYP was squeezing every ounce of blood out of Twice back in 2018 and didnt want NONE of that for her, and we all know how Jennie has freely admitted that idol life is ultra taxing on her body, imagine aching every single day you wake up because you're forced to dance for HOURS per day. I still believe that Jennie's future is as a producer/songwriter with an occasional solo release to keep her fans happy and earn some cash.

Lisa and Rose give off more of an idol vibe, while Jisoo is kinda inbetween for me (she seems the most inclined to want to interact with fans, and she's always the most vocal about wanting to be a Pink and loving Blinks) yet she has a potential future as an actress if her 4D personality can translate to TV and the silver screen. She's also widely disparaged as the least talented of the 4 members musically, even though i dont see it, i think she's a great dancer and singer as well.

I know this thread is just tongue in cheek having fun, but with respect to the actual serious issue about lack of comebacks for Somi and BP....Just like with Twice where fans are scapegoating JYP, i wonder if the fans' anger is misplaced? Maybe the girls of both groups are ok with the status quo?

If the status quo is one comeback a year, I am actually cool with it. But when it comes to Somi, we're talking about 3 songs in 2 years. The fans have to be given at least some semblance that Somi is going to have an idol career with consistent music. I'm sure a lot of this is due to Covid and most likely TBL just trying to time things, but it's vital the fans get something this year. Her outside projects cannot survive without her at least releasing some music. That is unless she becomes a full fledged actress.

Look at Sejeong for instance. I was a big fan of hers and she looked like she could be one of the most popular soloists in the industry. And for whatever reason JellyFish decided to just sacrifice it for the sake of the Gugudan. I'm not saying it was stupid to try to leverage her fame to prop up Gugudan, but there was no need to completely stop her solo career. And because of that, I and others have pretty much abandoned her solo efforts. I just don't care about her acting career. Good luck to her but I guess you can call me a former fan of hers. I don't want the same thing to happen to Somi if she really is interested in still making music. But if she isn't, then good luck to her.

I don't know why people don't see Jisoo's potential for song writing. She has written her Korean lyrics in most of her covers and was 3rd co-writer for love sick girls. not to mention she reads a lot and mentioned she wanted to be an author.
