I mean I love when they do besides being great singers and dancers but when fans act as if these idols are pros and soo talented at it IS SO ANNOYING. Even my favs included.

Not naming names but I remember someone held a violin (just to pose) and they got articles and professionals talking about the way they carried it was so good and like pros. And fans list "a violinist" at that idol's set.

Beyond me. I’m from a rocker family (total black sheep with my love for kpop), my brother is a guitarist in a rock band. I just chuckle when I see extreme reactions. 😂

I think it's people who never played an instrument before. They think that playing 3 chords on the guitar is the same as playing Memories of Alhambra.

I mean, it's fine to be happy they're doing something other than dancing and singing. It's just that some fans act like they play like crazy when they're actually just at beginner level.

Because people stan the idol first for other reasons, they just get excited to know that person has other extra talents, and in this case: playing guitar They would react the same if it's other random talents like cooking/drawing/etc.

Do you mean listen to see if you like it or listen in general?

Because someone playing musical instruments well doesn't mean their music is to someone's liking.

I guess it’s expected if the artist is in a band? So there’s no excitement for him playing a guitar coz it’s kinda like their job. But will you be excited and hyped if the members from Day6 started to do complicated dance moves like other kpop group? I’m sure you will because it’s unusual and unexpected. So that’s probably why fans from idol groups get excited when their idols play instruments.

That’s just normal human reaction.

"stans" get excited abt whatever their faves are doing that normal people do every day. That's the life of a stan

I am one of those that get excited when my faves play musical instruments. One of my favorite moments was when Hueningkai and Beomgyu played the piano and guitar respectively to Our Summer (probably my favorite song of theirs) on Idol Room. To me that was a magical moment! Too bad I couldn't find the actual clip, the closest is this one.

My fav likes to pose with his guitar and let Junkyu actually play.

Yeah, I mean, tbf, stans lose their minds all the time because their idol ate a bit of bread cutely or some such, so it’s no surprise that they get excited when one of them picks up a guitar and starts playing Live Forever... 😂
