I would hope it'd be obvious to everyone, but the eras of the two are MUCH different. In her prime, Britney ruled an era where album sales were at a peak. Album sales have been in steep decline since the way we consume music has evolved. Streaming is now a much bigger part of the game (and really wasn't even a thing at all when Britney's reigned supreme) which is why even the Billboard charts had to be changed to both include then properly weight it. Album sales are still a thing of course, but it's relative.
TL;DR: trying to use BP's (or anyone's) album sales against them compared to someone from an era where BestBuy still sold CDs cause it wasn't a loss is some really weak trolling.
