    Well, she's right. Announcing Haerin and Hyejin is a decision Hybe made without MHJ's input and it's only possible purpose is dividing the fanbase. There was never any possibility that Haerin and Hyejin could start promoting without some decision being made about the other three. They should feel bad about that.

    Two other members, plus third one which wasn't present at the meeting didn't make such decision yet.


    So how is that wrong for HYBE to announcing that two are back? You haven't seen the post later on that Hanni, Minji, and Danielle wrote a post/statement that they want to be back as well. The thing is they wrote it online instead of first notifying anyone in HYBE about it. So how could agency know? It's not like they sit in members heads lol.

    They actually informed Ador, but Ador didn't get back to them. However, as soon as the news came out, Mindy bounced themselves into announcing their intention to return.


    Ador could've waited to converse with the other three to announce something, or even state that they are in discussions with the group, as a whole, to return.


    Do remember that in SK, everything is about image and perception. Do I think Ador cares about Mindy? Not particularly, no. Do I think they'd benefit from keeping them all? Yeah, if they want to go forward with them.

Which is obviously why the others rushed to make that announcement in response. And it's been weeks upons weeks since the other three declared they do want to come back. If there is no harm in announcing it seperately what on Earth could be preventing them from making an announcement about Minji and Danielle. They have been available this entire time. 4 of them went into that meeting, they were ready to declare 2 of them the next day. Why would confirming their sincerity be a month long process? Either they agree to the same terms as Haerin and Hyejin or they do not. More time has passed since Danielle and Minji have declared their intention to return then between the end of the lawsuit when Haerin and Hyejin were still wholly against coming back and the announcement about Hyejin and Haerin.

    I would add that, at that point, the two youngest members had already changed their lawyers and had been meeting with Ador for a week.


    According to press reports, Minji, Danielle, and their lawyers went to the last negotiation with Ador, handed over a letter with their demands, and then left.


    Did Minji and Danielle know that Haerin and Hyein had changed lawyers? Or did they believe they would all appeal together as five on the last day?

    If we remove all biases, then I think the most logical conclusion is they announced it early to put pressure on MHD. They most likely had certain demands that Ador wasn't going to budge on. So, they announced HH early since they were willing to agree, and this puts pressure on MHD to budge on a deal that's better for Ador. We've already seen the mediaplay about MHD are spoiled brats and HH's image is being sanitized. It makes sense for them to go back because dealing with legal fees for most of your life isn't ideal.


    Also, the elephant in the room is NewJeans in a year without any releases outperformed LSF and Illit in some key metrics. I think that tells you all you need to know why a deal is most likely going to happen because there's too much money to be made. If NewJeans without any new music is still outperforming other top groups, then imagine how a comeback performs. I don't even think the music has to be great because the brand is very strong where people are going to check anyways and people just want to see the group perform again imo.

Honestly if that's the case, even if NJs were being very unreasonable in their demands, trying to pressure them with the announcement was wrong and probably warrants some apology or explanation.

    Ador gave them deadlines to get back. I mean the 5 of them could have appealed so Ador gave them time to do it if they want


    2 came back. 3 didn't give an answer. Of the 3 one went to prepare for a marathon while another went to visit penguins so they obviously had their priorities straight


    After the deadline, Ador just confirmed the 2 who chose to come back since the 3 went MIA. Like you expect them to come back from visiting penguins before they make an announcement? Why should they be the one waiting if the other 3 literally have other priorities?


    And in a panic moment seeing the news, the remaining 3 self-proclaim themselves to be back without informing Ador

    That’s why the PR game is very dirty. Ador played the game and it’s working for the most part. Most people are tired of the case to dig deeper. It’s why the current narrative about HH being seen in a positive light and breaking away from the mean girls is working . Of course it’s most likely not happening but it’s an easy angle to run with. I think most know they’re not going to run with subunit or add members but it doesn’t hurt to play PR to put pressure on MHD


    I think if we remove biases we can say MHJ is mostly looking out for herself and not so much the group. If she cared, then I think she wouldn’t be quiet for 12 months, and we all know how loud she is 😅 I’m not saying she’s heartless because she still cares enough, but she’s most likely like most execs she’s fighting against imo.


    Personally, I don’t think she should be doing a media tour because we all know they would talk about NewJeans. However, I think her stirring the pot about keeping the group together does shift some of the narratives Ador allowed happen.
