Does JYPE have most company stans currently?

  • My definition of "company stan" isn't "stan of the company". But the people who will support all/most of that company automatically even with little knowledge,

    Among Big 4:

    - Most of the so called HYBE stans are just ARMYs,

    - SM famously has a history of every fandom of senior group beefing with fandom of direct junior group, and bg stans vs gg stans,

    - YG was the pioneer of company stan culture (their official website is yg family). But took a hit after 2019 incident,

    - JYP also has the bgs vs ggs fighting as usual. But at least for the ggs side, if people like one gg then there is a high chance they'll have positive opinion on other ggs. I've seen many people stan every JYP gg from 2nd to 4th gen.

  • from my perspective give me a girl group from JYP and I will check them for sure

but well I thought new one will be out already or that we will get some news about early 2026 debut

  • Maybe it's your definition that makes you discount HYBE.

I can't call many of those ones ARMYs. Especially the ones that were characterising Jungkook as a naive idiot for supporting artist's rights.

They tend to support many of the other HYBE groups. Not all of them, yes, it's true. But you will see plenty of people with usernames to the power of seven glazing Illit and Cortis.

The most vicious NewJeans antis will be stans of multiple HYBE groups, and, likely in the past, they were probably NewJeans "fans" as well.

JYPE? Well, the Nmixx/Twice fandom venn is probably close to a circle. But then they're both largely the product of the same creative director... There is a lesser overlap between SKZ/Kickflip, and Day6/Xdinary Heroes. But there doesn't appear to be significant overlap across these three clusters.

And on the contrary, Twice and SKZ fans are always fighting over dumbass "FIRST JYPE artist to..." records that literally nobody else cares about.

edit: also your characterisation of the SM group fans is also completely off-base. It's not the first time you've said that. SM stans are the only ones with their own fandom name: Pinkbloods. They exist, they are rabid, they are plentiful, and they're very good at covering their tracks by throwing the older groups in the trash when the new one debuts. The feuds you think you're seeing are actually between genuine stans of specific groups and the Pinkbloods imo.

"HYBE stans" are basically a subset of ARMYs who think HYBE as "BTS's company" so they'll try to defend it everytime, but they won't stream or buy anything from junior groups. About "characterising Jungkook as a naive idiot", well, akgae existed and it huge in BTS fandom.

The ggs circle in JYPE is more than that. If you traceback the venn diagram to 2nd gen, there is a good chance they also supported WGs and Miss A/Suzy. They are the company stans I'm talking about, you won't see the fandom-line like that in SM or YG.

This was not how it usually happened. It was always started with senior fandoms ganging up on the new group, their fans fought back. So if those stans threw older groups, they'd stan new groups from another company, not the SM one because of that feuds.

Pinkblood is a SM's propaganda. YG did it first by the "YG Family" bs since 2nd gen. The difference was YG's actually worked for a while.

No, those aren't akgaes, they're HYBE stans who interpreted Jungkook as going against the company line.

They also defended employees who talked shit about him.

They won't stream or buy anything from junior groups?

On Spotify, Cortis' EP has 159,407,100 streams. Aespa's Rich Man EP, released a few days before, has 62,998,613. It's getting more daily streams than the latest Stray Kids release. The EP debuted at number 15 on Billboard 200, the second highest debut for a k-pop act ever. It's almost at a million sales, if not already there.

Compare this to Kickflip who needed to release three albums to come to that figure and have a total of about 31m streams across all their releases. Looks like the JYPE company stans (or even SKZ fans) did not turn out.

Right now, on the first page of this forum, is a video where a fan seems to be asking a Le Sserafim member about doing a Cortis - Fashion challenge.

The two most-streamed 4th gen k-pop girlgroups are both HYBE groups. They are also the only ones able to consistently enter the Hot 100, which only Blackpink and BTS have been able to do prior. They had elite-tier success on day dot - one of them with literally zero advance marketing.

Yet, that same one saw a significant reduction in international numbers once they got into a dispute with HYBE.

You absolutely see that in SM, are you joking? SNSD->Red Velvet->Aespa is absolutely a path fandoms took. There's very prominent members of this very forum that took this road. Who do you see starting threads about Hearts2Hearts? People explicitly in the Aespa fandom.

The core of any SM group fandom is company stans, and that has been the case since the 2nd gen.

And for the record, they happily call themselves pink bloods while baying about SM groups' superior vocals and discographies etc. They have a whole ass mythology other company stans can only aspire to.

  • JYPE's company stans were mostly the korean general public who were inclined to check the female groups out due to the perception that the agency has done quality girlgroups across multiple generations, but It's barely what they think anymore, hence why NMIXX was a slowburn.

Now expecting a bunch of fans who stan JYPE groups to start stanning their juniors is far from how predominant It is with HYBE, SM and YG.

There's a reason why their current rookies' numbers don't compete with the rookies from the other 3.

  • Nobody is a company stan in JYPE. There is so much infighting between different fandoms. None of the older fans support the newer groups. Literally JYPE comes in last place when it comes to company stanism.
