And why can't we zoom out and masquerade as K-Pop Chroniclers for a bit?
Ten years from now nobody is going to remember or care about how aespa charted on a Tuesday in February on the night of a new moon.
But they will contextualize or attempt to contextualize where aespa fit within the pantheon of K-Pop's biggest girl groups.
I'm just trying to spark conversation. 
They have an interesting concept. Even when I thought their songs were ass I still found them more memorable then other groups.
They'll be remember as the most awarded 4th gen gg 😎😎
Nobody cares about that, but everyone knows they would get an asterisk next to the achievement anyway
More problematic than Red Velvet in average, still not as problematic as SNSD
But they might get there one day
They are the only one getting whacked for being at W Korea event, even tho everyone and their mamas were there. So they are not going to stop trending anytime soon.
Regarding their legacy: KPDH, virtual idols, AI already showed how impactful Aespa is.
They have a lot of iconic songs and Mainly they have iconic members who will carry the legacy of the group.
I don’t think anybody can take 2024 away from them. That was one of the strongest years for a kpop girl group. Also think they will be known for their sound because nobody makes music like Aespa imo. Also as one of the best vocalist because there are performances we can point to where they sound very good like some of their it’s live performances
Individually is where Aespa gets messy imo. Karina of course will be remembered as one of the it girls of 4th gen. However, one will look back that SM was scared of NingNing reaching her level or surpassing her, so they did everything they can to hold her back. Then we will look at them not maximizing on Winter because they also didn’t do enough to push her imo
Plus, if we’re talking about performances many will wonder why were the mics rarely on when the girls can sing well.
I believe all 3 members will be remembered very fondly.

It's not even top 3. Arguably not top 5. Even without adjusting for era.

They rarely sing live so they will only be remembered by their fans for this and much less so by the public.
Imagine if Mamamoo sang live 25% of the time. They wouldn't have their stellar reputation as vocalists.

I assume it would be in the top 10 but I guess it will be overshadowed by NewJeans 2023 and IVE 2022 if we’re looking back at 4th gen groups
I agree that it’s hard to rate vocalists if the mics aren’t on. I will say they had some great vocal performances, but even I can admit that it gets overshadowed with moments with mics being off and choreography not up to standards of their peers

Probaly no, currently aespa has no legacy, i.e the type that changes kpop industry for either good or bad.
But I disagree on later part of the title. Karina is one of the most dragged idol right now because of the W Korea event, while there were many A-list idols there but they don't get dragged as much.
Of the post 2nd generation groups I doubt any groups beside Blackpink, Twice and NJ will leave leave any big legacys. well, add Red Velvet maybe. The rest is more or less just one group among many.

And whiplash(which is the actual biggest song of 2024) is still charting in top15 on all Korean charts.
