Am I wrong to think that you can't really say you wrote (or produced) the song if there are like tons of people participating in it

He adds the autotune

wait thats true. someone better tell him to ease up on the autotune for cortis.
the same way he conveniently makes himself scarce when hes needed, he can make the autotune scare where its not needed, juseyo

When there is a long list of people credited it usually means that the song was bought from a ghostwriter and everyone is adding their name to get the royalties. It's just a way to distribute various bonuses among the various intermediaries.
If you're not too naive, it's usually pretty easy to figure out who the real idols are involved in creating their music and who aren't. Usually an idol who is not involved never talks technically in interviews, you never really see them involved in the work, in the content of the group or the various shows in which the artist participates.

all you have to do to verify most things is go to KOMCA (for those who may not know)
A stands for Author, which generally refers to the lyricist.
C stands for Composer, responsible for creating the music.
AR stands for Arranger, the person who arranges the composition into its final structure and instrumentation.
Here's some example artists mostly credited for A AND C with a few who also have AR

It should be like ingredients labelling requirements on food, where the primary ingredients that take up higher percentage of the weight need to be listed first, and it's in descending order from there.
The "writers" that contributed most should be listed first and then a descending order of input.

we blame the purple fandom who kept harassing other idols for not writing their songs while their own faves being on the credits with ten other writers too. Well at least as long as bts song not turned out controversial then it's suddenly other writers fault and their idols only wrote 2 words in it.
It would be much easier to erase them from public memory if haters didn't keep mentioning them in every single thread.

It’s not a problem if you’re not the songwriter yourself, as long as you remain the one in control of the artistic and creative direction of your album.
What bothers me is when it feels like you didn’t contribute at all, and that all the creativity came from others instead of you.
Unfortunately, in K-pop, the agency holds that control. The only things idols are usually allowed to do are write a few lines and pick their outfit. A sad reality.

This is how some kpop groups got popular for “writing” their songs lol.
Some companies don’t distinguish song writing from lyrics writing in their official album credits easily fooling fans. Mostly idols are writing a few words of the lyrics and get called authentic song writing genius lol.
All this is known only some gullible kpop fans believe in all this rubbish I guess.
Very few authentic song writers in kpop.
yeah exactly
kpop stans see their fav's name in the credits and call their music self-produced or self-written.
when in reality in songwriting sometimes just being in the same room as the producers when they're working on a demo is enough to grant u a sweet spot in the credits.people glorify kpop songwriting credits way too much when only very few idols are actual producers and songwriters, which is why companies use these tricks to fool fans. not writing their own songs is for some reason used as a way to drag certain groups when well.... sometimes it's really best to leave the songwriting and production process to actual professionals.
