if they (and maybe MHJ) win their lawsuit they can sue for damages since NJZ can and should absolutely argue that the injunction in favour of hybe prevented them from undertaking various activities which results in them losing out on money

again if the numbers are to be believed then prior to their contract termination they were earnings millions of dollars (each)

if they dominated those 2 years, then yes, they'll be remembered for their achievements

Depends upon the outcome of the legal battle, how they come back, the quality and reception to their music.

If they lose and still comeback with solid music people will say oh they suffered a lot but now they are back with a bang.

If they lose and come back with mediocre music people will say they lost their charm/don't have the IT factor without big company backing.

If they win and come back with mediocre music people will actually drag them even more and say things like oh look they wanted to be independent so badly just to release shit.

If they win and come back with solid music then not only the narrative but the legacy will also be unmatched.

If their career ends or they never reach a new peak : then lawsuit

If they comeback and promote and have success : their achievements

Legacy is a strange and complicated beast

Many people and acts are remembered for all their aspects

Michael Jackson is definitely remember for his music. But also his achievements are remembered as well, the impacts he had. BUT also his controversies and scandals and issues are remembered. None of the three has ever really fallen away, all are meaningful when discussing Michael Jacksons legacy and impact.

I know nothing about TVXQ(ot5 charting or achievements) but do know they filed a law suite.

For OT2 I know they had a tour with over 1 million ppl because of Japan alone and because of that I know TVXQ is popular in Japan.
