If you meant strongest GG in their generation, yes, they are. But tbh, they are more like snsd than BP. I love jeanz, but I still they are not quite reach BP famous globally. I feel like they don't have Lisa's passionate SEA fans and the right time to blow up with BTS which means it will never happen. None of the new groups will be like bts and bp. Not even straykids who are second biggest kpop bg in the world. Maybe after bts disbands same way One direction broke up

The only girl group that always have high views despite not having blackpink clout in Korea or anywhere else bc yg messed up their songs choices. Now if they had clout, fewer members that had Jennie&Lisa's charms, they would've been blackpink 2.0.

Jeanz don't have that western IT girl archetype either that westerners love. Their music IS westerners' taste but it's not the cool music vibe that makes girls and gay be obsessed with you like they're obsessed with bp which is why they have a cult following imo. Plus high views shows you have demand and that's what western media loves which is why they invited bts and bp in the first place.

I don't like the idea group being 2.0 to any group. When I said SNSD, it's more like they have the same charm SNSD locally that made international kpop fans know them, instead of build strong personality group attracting fans in global level. Girl crush/powerful girl are the most likeable concept for gg, and Jennie / Lisa contributed more building that image. Just look at the most successful group in the world, Spice girls, Destiny child, fifth harmony. BP came in right time filling that empty spot. But of course you can't have the same concept in a row and saturate the market, that's why I think why baemon is "falling" since BP is still quite active and people are still waiting for their new song. and also that's why Hybe tactic to throw away the uniqueness of its labels only hurt its subs business.

jeanz with their young, fresh, r&b/hip hop concept, if they market them properly (with full English song like BTS did with dynamite), can also be new favourite. I mean ETA is just have English in the chorus but weekends and Travis Scott already play that banger in their concert. I always think they can be next TLC, created songs that appeal to both male and female audiences.

But even if they can't reach BP level of popularity, I hope they can keep their longevity in industry. It's hard for kpop idols group to stay relevant after 7 years, and most members will have separate ways. I mean I am all for solo project if that's mean they are grown professionally, but it's also nice to see idol group thrive despite their ages. Something that jpop can do much better than kpop, even with their mediocre 48 groups. Just like my faves 10 year GG Little Glee Monster. One of the most talented GG with great vocals.

About Popularity ? Yes but otherwise they are two very different groups the concepts and strength/weakness of the two groups are not at all the same

The members of NewJeans easily stand out from the pack. Their group branding and image is just so otherworldly that their individual star power can be somewhat overshadowed, and honestly, that's okay. They're still a young group.

But this is a pretty silly comment to make when the members do things like this

Sorry could be wrong about some of the star power thing. I assume Danielle and Hanni could be the bridge to get western fans like Rosé, Lisa and Jennie. Unsure how popular Hanni is in the SEA market, but it could be huge to get them/her.

I 1think it may have been too early to say none of them stand out individually. Casually into the group, but enjoy their music. From a casual perspective Hanni stands out for me, and I see starpower with her. I do notice Minji gets a lot of attention and same with Haerin. I think next year if they release the album could be step for them taking the next step like Blackpink did with D4. I wasn't around kpop before that, but I assume NJ and Blackpink might have been in the same level of popularity before D4

Too early to say.

But they sure have shown strong potential to win Koreans, Japanese and SEA.
