I feel like at this point we have to blame Hybe for this too.

As for LSF, nah, not the most controversial. I think they've been on the receiving end of a lot of targeted ongoing hate for various unjustified reasons.

I do think Hybe set them up and put a traget on their backs through a combination of lack of focus on vocal training, what's come out of the internal documents about alleged bumps to album sales and streaming numbers and pushing them as rivals to the other top groups, and finally because of Hybe's shit reputation now.

Then throw in that they have one of the most toxic fandoms with many token stans from other Hybe groups (not on AKP, and yes there are other more toxic fandoms like Army, Blinks, Mys) and you have a group that unfortunately will get hated by many.

They're not even HYBE'S most controversial girl group if you count GLAM

I guess the question becomes the quality of the controversies vs the quantity of them

Aespa was called out by multiple artists for copying their works multiple times, newjeans was recently sued by a British group for plagiarising their work, and attention mv looked like a homage to that one japanese group. Nyt suddenly everyone is suffering from selective amnesia.
