  • I would do a revamp

With a cool and interesting concept

Kinda like what Dreamcatcher did in the past

    great idea

but would you also add members like DC did?

  • They are probably done after their contract ends.

If I were their CEO, I would try to get them in festivals to make some money, and then give them at least one last comeback before their contract ends.

  • wait, where is Juri :skull:

her contract was for 5 years and she left group to focus on some solo 'consulting' project for potential Idols

So sad. I listened RP from their debut, the group was so underrated. Everybody go listen Red Punch and Pink punch.

Unfortunately, without Juri they are doomed. They are young in terms of age, but take in account: 6 years in industry, you can't sell them as rookies, Rocket Punch is actually veterans without visible commercial success.

Disbanding will be the only option

  • i dont know much about them so:

What are they good at? Dancing? Singing? Performing?

Choose one and go for it

Then, about the concept there are three choices:

-Go for what the girls want (could not be very profitable)

-Go for the current trendy sound (could be worse for them, if they are getting on the wave too late)

-Search for a niche in the kpop market (the aim is not to sell millions but to have a solid fanbase, like QWER)

Finally, take advantage of every connection they have. Isnt Woollim a SM subsidiary?

Then sell Rocket Punch as an SM group, do collabs with Billlie, another SM subsidiary group, etc

  • their recent songs

you can check and made decision

  • they've debuted in august 2019

so probably two full years left

Well, it depends on profitablility then.

If they are in the red or barely in tue black five years in, then it wouldn't make sense to renew the group in the efforts to make more music. You can just reload with new investors into debuting another group without the baggage that this one has. For the remaining two years, I would send them out into activites that have higher profit margins (e.g., festivals) and rakenin any cash I could get. I would also review each member and see which ones have a higher potential for success after the contract ends. The other ones I'd probably let go if I'm not getting favorable deals.

If we're making good profit, then I would re-up an extension for maybe 3 to 5 years and look to transition from music about a year or two after renewal. Release music and tour until the second contract gets close to its experation date.

23, 23, 22, and 21 are a bit too old for survival programs. Even if they make the group's final line up after a year, are you really going to debut a 26 year old into your new group (assuming the project group lasts about 2 years)? I guess you can send the 19 year old, but I would probably just start a new group around her rather than continuing Rocket Punch.

Concept change seems out of the question for me. It could work, but are you really going to invest the money to do that rather than just starting with a younger group? The newest batch of hyped idol groups are now coming in, and I'd rather not try to compete by trying a concept change. I mean, I guess it's not the worst option. What would the concept even be? That would be something to consider. I've talked myself into it lol

Adding new members? Why not just make the group centered around the new memebers? Send Dahyun to a survival shoe and then use her popularity in a nre group.

No real answers from me. Just scattered thoughts lol

  • Changing Concept might get a lucky hit but it's probably too late

The group is already "too old" to introduce a "graduation system" and they aren't popular enough to pay for the immediate future.

3 members of Rocket Punch were on a Survival Show, one of the bigger ones too, Queendom Puzzle so that's not an option any more.

Acting is probably too late especially as Woolim would have considered that earlier.

They're come to the end of their run, I wouldn't be surprised if their members took out personal loans to sustain their lifestyle as Idols.

When we consider that Lovelyz was disbanded and they had middling financial success, then Rocket Punch isn't a future investment for Woolim
