"The three Fifty members who betrayed their agency and left are in real trouble."

The court accepted an application for provisional seizure of bonds against The Givers (co-CEOs Ji-seon Kwon and Seong-il Ahn) filed by agency Attrakt (CEO Hong-jun Jeon) of FIFTY FIFTY.

    Application for provisional seizure =

The money deposited in the bank account is seized.
Their only way to spend money is in cash.
First, a decision was made to provisionally seize 1 billion won, and it is said that the remaining 12 billion won will be gradually increased.
It is not possible to confirm how much the claim will be in the future.
The remaining money for Ahn Seong-il and the other 3 members of the former Fifty Fifty will be confiscated until the money is paid in full for the rest of their lives.

    1. Aigoo...

    2. It's not 1.2M won, but 12 billion won... Wow... (t/n: 8M USD)

    3. So they actually found a new company...?

    4. fighting ^^

    5. They'll soon debut as BJs

    6. If 12B won was your debt, whether you die or eat, shouldn't your first priority be to succeed as celebrities?

    7. They're so screwed... What are they going to do?

    8. All this because they made the wrong call ㅠㅠ How many times did the CEO give them the opportunity to turn back...

    9. Why were they unable to wake up when everyone was feeling bad for the CEO...

    10. We should hit those m**derers and ass*lters f*ckers with this kind of money punishment instead sigh

  • Where else would they be? They are being sued, so they are shutting up and lying low, which is what they should've done in the beginning unless their lawyers told them otherwise.

The first line says that the application is specifically against the Givers. Is their anything about the the former members, or are they just being lumped in with the Givers? And what of the parents of the former members? This article lacks too many details.

  • This is really sad. Even if they’ve made a mistake, they’re still young and inexperienced in this industry, likely just wanting to maximize their earnings despite in a questionable, greedy way. I don’t excuse their wrongs, but I think they should be given some mercy.

They probably learned their lesson by now. These girls deserve a second chance. Aran and Sio have incredible voices and skill that should not go to waste.

  • I have complicated feelings about this. It's not clear for me what kind of money the ex-members will have to pay but I hope it's a sum possible to pay in the future (even if they have to work for some time with debt) and not a dammingly big number that would be literally impossible to pay. I understand that they are at fault but they already lost big with their career ending and their names being tarnished for a long time. I think it will be hard for them to get jobs.

And I have to note that this post is not giving a lot of exact information so I might had the wrong conclusion...

  • Out of many mistakes they made, I think the biggest one is posting their contract online on instagram. They're pretty much cooked in entertainment industry regardless of the damages lawsuit result (if they have to pay up or not).

First this will make it hard for them to be signed by anyone or be signed at decent company with good conditions which is what they would desire of course - a company will most likely put and want extra clauses to protect themselves from them breaking contract again which will probably land them with slave contract situation.

Even if their parents start agency for them, they still have to work with people in industry: music producers, production crews for MV etc, broadcasting stations (that is if they aren't blacklisted forever) which knowing their reputation and them leaking contracts will be super hard.

I think their only chance at music rn is being a youtube singer and making covers and hope you turn into someone so popular (like Raon Lee with over 4 million subscribers for example) that you have chance to make any serious profit. I think their only realistic solution is going to study and be regular people.

  • even raon signed with universal iirc.
plus raon is popular coz of anime community and i dont think k-pop cover channel can really get big ??
coz even alot of k-pop idol is covering other artist songs, so if you search a certain song cover other k-pop artist will likely pop out first. if that make sense ??

I didn't specify kpop covers, I mean just covers or posting your own songs in general. Maybe they can do Patreon too, who knows. Those 30k likes on twitter could possibly translate to some money, assuming of course most of those are their fans and aren't just "yay idols, fvck company" crowd without any deeper interest in them.

IKR - I found an article about the court date being set. Basically attrkt is suing the givers, the three former members and their parents for 13 billion won in damages.

They asked the courts to seize the bank accounts of everyone involved for 1 billion first and then if they win they'll all be on the hook for the 13 billion. I think the KCMA is still suspending copyright payments due to the mess with the credits and Attrkt only paid Keena after the trainee debts were paid off, they are probs holding onto that money till the suites end. So after everything is settled, if all the money owed to them is enough they may not actually be in debt, just walk away with nothing and get residuals from the song going viral. But if not, the income from the song may keep going to attrkt for years to pay off their debt and the debt would incur interest at the standard bank rate, so they may never see a penny.

  • Yikes it's like their only choice now is to become BJ's or start some OF account
