Karma got YGE pretty good

  • Problem is Babymon songs are mid, not terrible, but just kinda meh or decent at best. They're ass compared to some of the recent boygroup songs from Ikon and Treasure and even Chanhyuk.

  • I was about to make a Thread about this looool (just not with the Karma angle)

YG finally realized that GG’s gonna be their face now.

Their chance to make a BG the face was lost when they mismanaged WINNER and especially iKon ( they should have been the next big thing after LS, but fumbled the bag hard).

Currently the ones gaining attention in there is BP and BM… bringing back 2NE1 is a master move, cause they still got a lot of fans! We finally get the proper generation link up we never got ;(

  • The only thing that is a safe bet on this forum is people complaining on companies, never understand why people love to hate them so much. You should thank them that they bring the groups to you.

I would say it's a bit random and a bit of luck which groups will make a big breakthrough and be succceful. I mean BTS was nothing their first years and suddenly they where nr 1. But they where saved by the bell, one more year or so without any success they probably would have been put on hold.

I actually agree with this. I'm not saying companies deserve to be praised and worshipped, especially when some don't do enough for their artists.

But there's a reason why YGE has a decent track record of their artists choosing to renew or renegotiate. YGE doesn't unleash the full potential of their groups. We know that. As fans, that hurts, but what seems to be a tradeoff is that they equip their artists with an amazing live band for tours, great backup dancers, and other behind-the-scenes things. They're a very rap-centric company, and no other company comes close when it comes to that. This is a big plus for their artists who specialize in rapping. We've seen this with GD, Lisa, Bobby, CL, B.I., and Mino.

When BP members chose not to renew their solo contracts, people on this forum took it as a sign the girls were unhappy with the company. That's just not true, especially not when they've renewed for group activities. When they've achieved this level of success, they're better off maximizing their profits by having their own companies instead of being signed under anyone else. But they still need YGE's management and resources for group activities since there's no better option.

I will praise and respect those companies when it’s due, but most of the time companies mismanage their artists in many ways, which pisses me off, especially SM. However I am very grateful that those companies have produced our beloved groups and soloists.

  • I don't know about karma or boy groups but YG is making good decisions with their girl groups this time

2ne1 tour is a smart move. Instead of spending money on new MV production and physical album productions they go straight to where the money is, which is tours. YG is short on cash, this is a great move and very good split of profit between YG and the 2ne1 members. Truly a win win situation.

Blackpink still gets a comeback which is another great move. BP is still a young group and they can obviously make profit with new MV and album productions. So it's smart to invest in them more since BP will still make the most money for YG.

Baemon is doing their thing and YG should support them the most out of their girl groups, which shouldn't be a surprise.
