Comparing the top 4th Gen GG's Spotify Debut Numbers in 2024

What happened to Gidle? 300k is so low for a group of their caliber.

It looks like NJ, Le Sserafim, aespa will end up top 3 of 4th gen as predicted.

If you don't show global power, it just not good.

For gidle isn't it better to compare wife and klaxon?

It would be nice if you put the amount of time it took each track because gidle only got 13 hours like others got 19, and so.

Tbh I am a bit suprised.

With the way some fandoms talk I thought numbers would be bigger.

I also knew aespa did well but this still suprosed me.

I do feel sorry for stayc because they had such a good start but now they are just not dropping type of music anyone likes. With their cutesy songs they at least charted well in Korea but with their newest song, it seems like almost no one likes it.

why such a drop off for gidle? I dont really follow them. Im curious to see how lsf comeback numbers will compare

total spotify numbers globally or regionally?

OP is comparing some songs with only a few hours of tracking, as they released at midnight Korean time to others songs with the most hours of tracking releasing on Friday afternoon Korean time i.e. newjeans, and some released at 6pm Korean time. OP should compare peak of day 1 or day 2 results instead, rather than just day 1 results.

Le sserafim,aespa,ive,stayc,itzy had same hours as gidle. Only nj was 19 hours.

BabyMonster released at midnight Korean time so they got I think 7 hrs of tracking. So it isn't fair to compare 7 hrs with 13 hrs with 19 hrs of tracking. It should be the highest of either day 1 or day 2 results.

Also Supernatural was 10% Japanese, 20% Korean, 40% English, so effectively it was a Korean release.

I wonder if Idle's international downfall is due to Westernizers finally giving up in frustration.

Gidle has no fandom to speak off outside China and maybe Taiwan and Thailand. They have to rely on multis and people actually liking their songs. Big 3 fandoms will stream whatever their biases release even if they don't like the music because looking like a success matters more than the music to them

They are in their 4th year already, 3 more years until their contract is up. I hope their agency takes lack of success during this cb seriously and give them better music and better promotions.

Whole Stayc niche used to be their unique aesthetics, so I hope they also go back to that.

You need to show Wife if you're going to use Supernova, since both were prereleases. Also Born to Be was a youtube exclusive before the album, so using that song here is faulty logic.
