I see new GG's debut everyday and 99% remain nugu
Making it without a big name behind you is rare. LOONA, Mamamoo, and Gfriend I think are the only popular GG's coming from unknown companies. Do you think the trainees debuting under small companies know and accept they will stay small or do you think they debut with hopes they'll blow up?

Yes sometimes but those are groups are an anomaly. Realistically, a vast majority will stay nugu. The risk just seems too much idk

Honestly, it's just luck and having trust in your company. Groups from smaller companies can be successful if they are promoted well and given a good debut song.
Agreed! I think debut songs are extremely important. I think a mediocre debut song can set a group up for failure. Debut is when people pay the most attention to new groups and if the gps attention isn't initially caught the group will prob be doomed

glad they do or I wouldn't have my ult group 
for every BTS there are probably hundreds of groups that languish in nugudom
but that doesn't mean that other groups shouldn't try to succeed. However they do have to be realistic and have a fall back in case things don't work out
its the same in every field and entertainment industry - for every rags to riches story there are plenty of rags to rags lol
The same reason people become actors and singers anywhere - they want to perform and believe they’re going to be the one to have that unknown to superstar moment. Additionally, some are hedging their bets to be a big fish in a small pond rather than a small fish in a big pond (think of any group where people complain about a members who doesn’t get many lines because there is so much competition). Or they are too impatient/worried that their opportunity is running out so are trying to take their chance elsewhere, like Hansol from SM Rookies..
Luck and hardwork also play a role in every success
In every gen there are several small-mid tier BG/GG that still successful too
I think everyones forgetting the big3 weren't always the big3 and became the big3 by debuting unkown artist in a startup company, and proof of that is BTS in 3rd gen. Just because you started in an unknown company doesn't mean you will finish in a unknown company, what if your the change to make the unknown, known.
