twices downfall lines up with their concept shift. they went from gp friendly to fandom specific.
izone has a strong fandom but it has nothing to do with twice. if you count twice's decline with their charting (sales have risen) then izone never rose at all because theyve never charted as well as twice at their peak
If anything it might prompt companies to start debuting big ggs again.
Twice is dead?
No cause TWICE has experienced a concept change. If anyone stanned purely for the cute concept, then there's no point in going back to TWICE because ICSM and Cry For Me are VERY different from IZ*ONE's concepts.
And either way, TWICE are still bigger than IZ*ONE ever was, even if they "declined" in some way. If anything, groups like WJSN, fromis_9, Oh My Girl, Lovelyz, etc will rise further due to similarity in the concept
IZ*ONE is not the reason of Twice's decline. I dont even think that Twice is declining, maybe just a bit but they are still very strong and grow everyday. Concept change one of the reasons why GP dont really pay attention to Twice, but ICSM managed to reach #11 in 24Hits, tiny decline isnt going to harm them tho.
Also Twice is bigger than IZ*ONE in every metrics.

Fanbase yes. But that doesn't make izone bigger than Twice in anything. The only thing they can compete with twice is physicals. Also izone's physicals grew tons after the disbandment scare. So....
Whenever there is a thread on a group of JYPE, it's always the same song. Listening to some of them it seems that all the bands in this company are flops, that no one knows them and that they don't sell any albums, that they are the worst singers in history and that they probably have none talent.
I'm not a fan of the company, but YG and SM are never allowed the same severity when it comes to their artists.

Yeah, what I'm saying is that Twice isn't bigger than izone is every way, but overall Twice is bigger without a doubt.
what Twice isn't on a decline, yes they're not as strong in some categories they used to be but they're still bigger than iz*one will probably ever be. I think their concept change shifted somethings for them(especially the gp)but the concept change has given them new fans that probably never thought they'd get into Twice.
I just wanna say that JYP handled really badly RLLY BADLY the changes between Twice's concepts
It is one of the reasons but for me, More & More was the main reason why Twice's hype is slowing down these days among GP. M&M hiatus was their longest hiatus (9 months), everyone had a lot of expectation but it turned that the song was a disappointment.
I truly think that ICSM would be their payback but i didnt. On the other side, their international fandom is really growing
