Bang's decision to not make BTS ditch Korea is backfiring very, very hard.
I won't even get started upon Taylor Swift taking over the world with BTS' absence.
It might have been a 'nearest run thing' but Napoleon ended his day in a tiny room in St. Helena, 2,000 miles away from a big landmass, while the Dukedom of Wellington still exists.
2023 Gallup Song of the Year
1. NewJeans - Super Shy 6.8%
2. Jungkook (ft. Latto) - Seven 6.7%
The difference is 0.1% but the impact is eternal
Seven - Peak position #1 in…
The Koreans voted New Jeans above Jungkook.
They decided to ignore Jungkook's billboard domination, and his victory over Jason Aldean, which is comparable to Napoleon's victory at Dresden in 1813, which is the final French victory outside of its soil (excluding colonial warfare) all the way to now, 211 years later.
Given the way things are going, Jungkook (ft. Latto) 's victory over Jason Aldean is likely to be the final victory of KPop over a mainstream artist.
Yet the Koreans chose New Jeans over Jungkook!
And, now the court chose Min Heejin over Hybe.
Whatever the future implications of this, it has ended Hybe.
The labels now have a right to act according to how they feel like, and will do so. And it basically ensured BTS' contract won't extend beyond 2027, ending it as a group by that year.
That is a much more important effect than whatever might happen to MHJ and New Jeans from now on. The court clearly expressed the fact that Korea does NOT support Hybe, and MHJ, and every label head in Hybe, can now act on their initiative, and they can now legally ignore Bang's wishes openly.
And I am sure at least some members would question Bang about the royal treatment he gave to MHJ, and will demand a similar treatment to them or they will simply leave.
So the Korean courts basically signed the warrant for the dissolution of Hybe and BTS.
With Korean treating Hybe and BTS like that, it would have been much better for Bang to make BTS ditch Korea forever, let the Koreans whine to the end of days, and they run world tours to silence Taylor Swift and rake in more money.
(The current arrangement with New Jeans is that the more money New Jeans (Ador) makes, the richer MHJ gets and Hybe don't get too much benefits. But if Bang decides to 'rest' NJ , MHJ now has a cause to make the members sue Hybe for termination of contract.)
It is now clear that all the sacrifices BTS made for the ungrateful Koreans were in vain, and it robbed their world domination, which is not coming back now Taylor Swift has consolidated her dominance.
If they ditched Korea and continued to tour the world, they would have easily cleared north of $1 billion for each year of 2 an022-2025 (of course no shit like free concerts in Pusan, Korea, etc) and would have killed Taylor Swift's resurgence and country's revival at the nip.
Instead they now face an uphill battle, much more difficult than anything they had to this point, with their erstwhile friends ready to sink them and MHJ harassing them at every corner, trying to discredit them as much as possible.
In short BTS' sacrifice for Korea was in vain.
