Feels wrong stanning a group as nugu as YOung Posse.

  • Is not because the sales per se, unlike the majority here, i feel nothing when i hear how much a kpop group sold.

Is because the awful Kpop company system. They have a debt with the company, and if they stay nugu probably they will pay their debt in years and the money they finally receive is not worth it. I listen and support some small local bands because i know the money they make goes to their pockets, but with nugu kpop groups is not the same, i dont want to give my money to a damn company (Not all atleast). Feels wrong.

  • Their album sales are going to be really low because they are nugu and the company said there will only be a small limited amount of albums produced and sold in stores. Also most idols make their money after their kpop career when they go out and do their own thing.

But Young Posse has cult classic group written all over them.

Your money, your choice. But if you buy their album, you will help them pay their debt so even though the company probably gets all your money, the girls still benefit from your purchase.

Oh, i didnt see it that way. Well, i cant demolish the kpop system and they already debut. I guess helpíng them to pay their debt is something.

  • If you love them, you should buy their album, especially if you have enough money for that.

A lot of people will see these numbers, and they will laugh, like idiots. These girls, just like KIOF are not even a 1 year old group and neither of them comes from a big company. I mean, KIOF's numbers are much better, but compared to BIG4 groups, both have low sale numbers. Let's be real, 98% of the groups can't sell more than 100K albums, because nowadays, it's not a trend. Baby Kpop fans only listen to their songs (if they will) on streaming platforms.

Compare their 2nd mini album sale numbers with Mamamoo's 2nd mini, for example! Why? Because same company, and both groups are underrated.

They had to wait for FIVE YEARS to reach this!

Another RBW girl group, Purple Kiss! They debuted in 2021! Their 3rd anniversary was a week ago, btw!

    Their best-selling album so far!

So, it's safe to say that Young Posse and KIOF has a lot of time. KIOF already won the Rookie of the Year Award, so they're doing better.

Not try be rude to nugus but with these numbers they'll disband within 2 years

  • Why is it that only kpop groups won't survive low album sales but everything else has gone to digital and streaming like movies and video games and they manage to survive?

If kpop group has so low album sales, then they won't be bringing enough money digitally to stay afloat either

I get your point but look at these numbers. Same company btw!

    Mamamoo's 1st two Mini-Album sales when buying CD's was still a thing.

Purple Kiss 1st two Mini-Album sales.

And now Young Posse's overall sales! Don't forget, Mamamoo was a vocal group, Purple Kiss a kind of typical girl group, and Young Posse has a totally different style to what most young kids like nowadays. It's liek they came back from the 90s, early 2000s. 😅 Also, digitally, they're doing much better.

YOUNG POSSE Sales Summary - KOREAN SALES

If kpop group has so low album sales, then they won't be bringing enough money digitally to stay afloat either

RBW is a not a company that disbanding groups, I don't think they have ever done that. The problem is that they hardly promote their artists. Also, companies doesn't earn much from physical sales. The real money comes from concerts. And performers and talents like Young Posse can fill big venues, EVENTUALLY.

Agree. In my country nobody buys hard copies, tbh i don't if they even exist. 6 months ago our singer had 5 arena concerts in our neighboring country (same language, she's really popular there). She didn't waste money on hard copies, but she earned a lot of money doing concerts (not just those but in general).

Whenever old artists do tours you know they aren't doing well with money lol

Exactly. This is why Kpop is on a downhill, honestly, because newer fans only care about numbers, not talent or good songs. They can celebrate 500M sales, but if only 1000 people will see them live, does it matter? To be fair 500M sales would bring in a lot of money, but anyway.🤣
