This saying has never been true. It was originally said by a carny who made a living off of lying to people. He didn't have a fragile reputation to uphold like these other celebrities. It's especially false for Korean celebrities, who live under higher scrutiny than basically any western celebrity. There are LOADS of things that could end their careers at any minute. Having this creep following you around and joking about your plastic surgery won't end your career, but it certainly ain't helping in any way.

She has 13.1 million followers now. It was ~12.2 million "pre-scandal".

I'm not even a "dive," so I'm not sure what sort of agenda you have against them, but I don't fit into it.

Karina's Instagram followers are just a number. We don't know how many of them are people with only a casual interest, or how many are even bots. What we do know is that entire fanclubs were saying they'd no longer buy Aespa's albums. I suspect that's going to have a larger effect than her social media presence.
