Oh this such a great video. I'm about halfway through, but I need to finish after I grab a late snack.
So far, what a great ride through the years of kpop, to see all the great songs and the change in groups and landscape over the years.
When Into The New World came I cheered lol. Literally where it all began for me.
Also did smile when I saw FX. I wish I had paid attention to them when they debuted.

It is a sad thing that you are fanning the flames but no one is answering it can only mean one of three things:
2- Nobody knows SNSD at this point and don't know all their faves might have once looked up to them
3-Nobody cares about Twice anymore and nobody knows how much shit was stirred when they debuted and everyone was desperate to push SNSD off a cliff to give these girls a crown they haven't yet deserved.

I legitimately think it was debatable until 2020 when Twice finally broke through the western market.
SNSD was number 1 in Korea longer relative to their own generation. But they struggled with their global expansion on exception of Japan. The same thing was happening to Twice though I'd say they were bigger in Japan than SNSD. Regardless Twice broke through in the west and that's been the difference maker.

I'm so tame these days I'm not even the same person. My trolling days have passed. I'm trying to stay active but it's a struggle with how much I can't get into todays kpop. I'm only still around to occasionlly talk 2nd gen and for the memories I have with all the old school users like you and eman.

No group was breaking into the west during 2nd gen. It was just too early for kpop. That shouldn't count against SNSD.

Sure both Wonder Girls and SNSD tested the waters but nothing came of it. Not even BTS had they existed in 2008 to 2011 been able to blow up in the West.

It's a fair point but even with that qualifier Twice beats them by Japan numbers who were still the number 1 KPop GG as of 2022. I have no idea if that changed in 2023 with LSF or even IVE, but I mean Twice were doing awesome business there pretty much their entire career.
To go kind of off topic, all this talk though, is just making me wonder when the hell is SM gonna announce Tayeon's Odd of Love Concert blu ray. That's gonna be a killer setlist. Just bangers everywhere.
Yes it is harder interact with other users lately, funny how every generation has its time of activity and it dies down when a new generation arises. I only come for the casual interaction with old users too and some users from my fandoms.
