With all that talk about 4th gen domination Let's play who can name the nuguest groups/musicians in korea

I think the nuguest artist I listened to and enjoyed last year was Chae Eun-jung (채은정), a former member of 1st gen gg CLEO. She can only be found under her name in hangeul, so not that easily, and her 2022 title track only has 2,256 streams to this day on spotify.

Another great deal of nugu, penniless bop was HINT (힌트) in 2020 (25k views on youtube over 3 years).

Although I def think Jen deserves to win this one with the great choices. I will try not to repeat her comments, and put in some other artists as well!

Also, what considers a group to be nugu? I've been a fan of 2017 and I still don't truly know. So I will only be putting in artists underneath a certain amount of subscribers or monthly listeners to say the least.

Of course it depends on people's own music ideals or tastes, but for me, I would love to promote these artists:

1. WEUS: (4th GEN).

They are so NUGU they don't even have an official Spotify PlayList yet. Their debut is kind of confusing as a member left then came back due to an active contract, and it was rumoured they didn't have enough money to re film the debut MV so they are coming back with their 2nd mini album.

For those who like rock and want to support more K bands, I totally suggest these:

2. 2Z. (4th Gen). (10K monthly listeners).

I was such a nugu/ pre debut stan that I supported their album project on KickStar and got signed polorids during the release! Each Poloroids were different I believe and taken by the members themselves. Even emails about updates on how its going, the member who speaks English the most is, Kim Ho Jin. Sometimes within the emails, he would put jokes, or ask suggestions from fans for what video or concepts they wanted to see.

Although I haven't gotten emails for a while and since they got bigger after their comeback that it was no longer, its a very unique story to say the least. I was also very proud that after suggestion them to join Vlive, that Vlive would be taken down officially in the same year due to WeVerse. 😢

The members consist of: Park Bum Jun (Leader & Drummer), Park Jun Eon (ZUNON) (Multiplayer position means he can do different things and doesn't have just one position), Kim Ho Jin (Main Vocalist, and unofficial position: English Speaker/ Connects with fans in the chat most often/translates for members if he can), Jung Ji Seob (Guitarist & Vocalist), Lee Jung Hyun (Bassist, Vocalist & Maknae).

(I love how this stage was done).

3. AIMERS. (Formerly known as B3O1 and 1st Aimers). (16.930 Monthly Listeners).

A group that has my heart to stay the least, they debuted on November 17th 2022 with the album [STAGE 0. Betting Starts]. However, as a casual supporter of the previous group Spectrum. I find it really cool that they are still fighting for their dreams. They just hit 50K subscribers not to long ago.

Lee Seunghyun (Leader, Dancer and Rapper of AIMERS) is a former Spectrum Member.

Choi EunJun. (Main Vocalist) is a former Spectrum Member.

Kim Doryun. (Vocalist).

Kim Yoel. (Vocalist & Dancer).

Park Seunghwan. (Vocalist & Dancer).

Hwang Woo Young. (Dancer, Vocalist & Maknae/Youngest). (Former DPS Media Trainee/ DSP N pre debut member).

4. ANTARES. (Formed in 2019, debut song was released 2020). (582 Monthly Listeners).

A group I'm proud to know, and one of the cutest fandom names ever in my opinion (MilkyWay's). Is like a brother group to Jen's suggestion ABLUE. They are known as 'AA' when they perform together. They only have 500 ish monthly listeners on Spotify.

They are so nugu they only have two songs at the moment, and I will hope this group sticks together for more content and music in the future instead of having another line up change.

Another group I wanted to mention was J Wiiver. They debuted with 7 members on February 17th 2022 and the album [J Trap]. They have 2K monthly listeners right now and the album consists of the following tracks: J Trap, Made For You, My Destiny and Blue Fire.

I literally just commented on one of the members VLOGS to see if we (Fans/support) can get any kind of answer about J Wiiver and if the members are okay since the latest video was 'Blue Fire' Special Video for their 1st anniversary and it hasn't been the most active.

Fingers crossed they are all healthy and okay. He hearted one of my comments in the past and seems to look into them, so hopefully he notices it. 🤞🏻

However, if you still wanted to check them out, and like the MV style of ONF/cyber punk stuff, hip hop/street wear stuff, I would recommend J Trap.

I like 3 of their members and one of them is also my fave in their new group since Younghoon, Heecheon and Yoondong re-debuted in Japan 3 years ago

I love their new group (except for that member who almost ruined it by the scandal that guy had. I mean one of their Japanese members did a big dumb dumb with his ex. fiance wtf)
