It would have been the holy trinity of female idols in Japan in a permanent [at least for 7 years] group. Hybe wanted to get the 3 most popular idols in Japan from Izone, but were only able to get 2 of the 3. They are going ok there, but with the holy trinity and the backing of Hybe, it would have been a sure thing that they have a snsd / twice level of success there.

idk , you can't really compare the 2. unlike idol you dont really explode instantly just coz you're at a big label.
its more gradual unless you're insanly going viral etc.

and people forgot how long acting project take. i rarely seen an actor/actress take 3 project in a year.
unlike idol who can do 3-4 comeback in a year.

but in my opinion her winning an awards are kinda a double edge swords. coz now its on her portfolio and she have to prove it.
plus i feel like her label dont wanna take any small role for her coz she worth more after winning the awards

maybe she just doesn't like being an idol, what good is being (more) famous if you have to be unhappy to do so

I think it's the best decision she made. She got brand deals and 3M followers, she will eat well no matter what. She doesn't need to partake in idols activities and tire herself out. She can certainly live comfortable with what she has now.

However, we really don't know what she truly wanted, but from her rejecting Hybe's deal I think we can assume she's done with idol's life. Can be like Wonbin, does a tons of CFs and live happily. She can even be an actress as her side gig lol. Work less for $$$? Hell yeah!! Sweet deal if you ask me.

Fans only feel like its a bad decisions to reject because they wanted her to be in a group.

I actually had a whole rant lined up. But when i went to research some Minju stuff on TW and YT, i got sidetracked by Izone content and i ended up going through another emotionally exhausting Izone content bingefest.

Izone is Izgone. In a week it will be the five year anniversary of Izone's debut.
