i know she gained some weight back,, looks like she is losing again,, 🫠🫠 i hope shes ok and looks after her health,, it reminds me of yoona who at one point looked very malnourished too,,

i used to look at photos of wy to help me get skinnier when i was in the worst days of my ed but i’m recovering now. she’s a huge influence to young girlz in ed communities,, 🫠🫠😞

The thing is, her losing weight might result in muscle weakness. I'm underweight myself and it led to my knee and knee muscles(?) getting so weak and tired that it hurts to walk and go up and down the stairs... I'm trying to gain weight myself and excercise but I can't even think of how an idol might feel if they started to have the same symptoms...

It's really none of our business. Regardless of how well intentioned fans may be, that's a personal issue between Wonyoung, her self-image and her doctor and making noise about it could easily just worsen the situation.

It's not unheard of for those kinds of comments to push people further into their disorders either. Anorexic/bulimic celebrities (Taylor Swift, Eugenia Cooney) have spoken up about how concerned comments about how underweight they were became a validation and bodycheck method. And there were many times comments about my weight or how much I ate made my binge eating much worse as a comfort mechanism

Even with a disorder that warps your perception of your body, people generally know what they look like and what they're doing, even if they don't grasp the severity. Pointing out the obvious doesn't really help matters especially in the position we're in, where we're not the person, their family, their friends but people at the end of the line and probably the last and loudest to point out what they already know. Not saying she does or doesn't have a disorder but still

Yes, exactly!

People might not realize that depending on the situation their comments might actually be even more harmful. This is not to say Wonyoung does or doesn't have a disorder, but if she does (and its super prevalent amongst both male and female idols), then this might not be the "helpful" concern many fans think.

Isn't it better to refrain so as not to potentially make the situation worse?

Some people are easily bruised (like AleXa) so when they do floor work that involve knee contact or even just accidentally bump their knee, it looks bad.

Gab Smolders, Jacksepticeye's partner, has such a sensitivity to bruising that she shared that her sofa's texture got bruised into her chin after falling asleep there once

At this point tbh without any official statement or comment by Wonyoung, it's just speculation. Easy bruising could be caused by any number of things from deficiencies to genetics to even cancer so point anywhere and it's still a shot in the dark.
