JYP (the person) has a main character syndrome and it's weird for me to see fans practically worshipping him.

  • Whether it's his career as a Musician, an Actor, a Variety Host or a Judge on a Survival Show, JYPark doesn't change, what you see is who he is. He's a Perfectionist that annoys people and he is self centered.

He failed an audition to get into SM Entertainment so began a company on his own, at a time where the Kpop Idol System was starting to be defined. There were no guidelines on how to run such an Company and the Big 3 showed how it was to be done.

The 2 things JYPark did right was, start JYP Entertainment and quit Management of JYPE's Idols which fully took place at the debut of TWICE.

JYPark is also a good friend to have. When he and Bang Si-hyuk had a falling out while they were living in America, JYPark didn't hold a grudge. Later he allowed 2AM to be co-managed by Big Hit which arguably kept them in business.

He's the face of JYPE so gets a lot of attention which is natural as he is the founder of a Major Kpop company and still serves as a Chairman. The reception he gets is good and bad, the bad usually when people want to blame JYPE for something so blame him, even when he's not involved.

He created JYP Publishing, training Producers, Composers, Lyricists etc, they are responsible for a huge part of JYPE's Discography, currently Stray Kids still need them to "ruin refine the songs they will release".

Anyway, what's wrong with him being a "character" like he is?

  • Finally someone that logical and had common sense

  • Are we sure about that? Didn't Park base his latest concert series on him achieving 50 #1 songs?

Yes JYP had more hits than Teddy,G dragon,Entire SM and YG total hits. He produced .JYP also helped to produce American actor Will Smith‘s fourth studio album entitled Lost and Found. He helped write the track “I Wish I Made It”. The album was released in 2005 and reached #6 on the US Billboard 200.
