Quality wise, who has been winning this year so far: boy groups or girl groups?

LSFM : quality

Gidle : quality

NJ : one hit one miss

Aespa : I’ll give it to them it was good enough

Boy groups

NCT 127 : huge no

Seventeen : hit on the charts but flop for me

EXO : quality all around

And…that’s it.

As usual GG’s are better

Broken Melody by one of the NCT subunits, i keep forgetting if it's Dream or WAYV or 127. That's the only BG song that is a SOTY contender. The rest of the top songs are GG songs.

Most of my favorite releases this year were from bgs, like BSS - Fighting, Blitzers - Macarena, Zb1 - In Bloom, Exo - Cream Soda.

im a gg stan but boy groups have had better music personally (for me) aka super, boynextdoor, shinee, etcc

while gg music has been meh so far

This year they are equal, I will give vote to bgs just for a change.

Girl groups all the way, they gave us so many quality songs and concepts even nugu GG's are releasing great Kiss of life just made their debut and they already gave us 3 bops, so far the only Bg releases that I enjoyed was Zb1 debut, Shinee comeback and Exo's

I really like N.Flying OST song, Wonderful Night but overall I have preferred girl groups music this year.
