  • The likes not matching up at all. JYPE usually only run ads either on the 2nd day or on occasion in the last 12 hrs of D1.

    It's pretty obvious this has been boosted quite heavily from adverts, which is fine, but judging by the low likes(almost nugu level) and the 14k comments I would be shocked if it pulled more than 5m views.

    groups who organically get 5M views manage to pull nearly a million likes… this screams 2M views max 😭 and they amped it up to over 20M

  • Previous comeback was really strange as well with how they charted extremely high on Melon but every other chart was lagging behind, usually it's the complete opposite pattern. This was discussed quite a bit in the digital thread.

    It's hard to say if there's anything fishy going on there but it's definitely strange that they can't even enter Melon TOP100 now coming off somewhat off a successful release. I think this pattern (top 5 with one release, then not entering at all with the next one) is basically unheard of.


    YT ads are a pretty effective marketing strategy though and most companies/groups have used them at some point. 20M views in 24h is making it extremely obvious though, the top 4th gen groups are pulling around 10M 24h without ads and suddenly they are doubling that? View to like ratio of 100:1 is quite insane. 10:1 is about normal for non-ad views in the first day(s).


    JYP is definitely up to some weird stuff lately.

  • In 2023, Melon started to favor new releases, so they created a 4-week 'New Releases Chart' that was added to the front page of the App and It boost more streams and listeners.


    The ranking of said chart is based on the Top 100 positions of songs released in the past 4 weeks.


    When a song leaves this Chart/Playlist, we notice a significant decrease in ULs. Before NMIXX, It happened to 'Teddy Bear', 'Fighting', 'Sugar Rush Ride' etc.


    That's why It was like #4 on Melon for some time and had a mid performance on other plataforms due to their exposure they gained through their promotions/acclaimed encore.
