do kpop idols not feel weird if someone in the same age range as them calls them sunbaenim

From many contents that I've seen so far, if the age range is not too far or even someone older calling them as senior, yes they do feel it.

TBH not sure why Sakura is calling Jimin sunbaenim, she literally debuted in 2011, imagine if Jimin called Sakura sunbaenim .

What's weird about it? The fact that he's in BTS automatically makes him the sunbae to other groups that debuted after them. Sakura is ven younger than Jimin. It's just an obvious thing to me.

In Korean colleges, 2nd or 3rd year students are called sunbaenims by fresh men even though they're only 1-2 year older and that's the norm, let alone a BTS member who made HYBE in which she is currently working at.

its the same at work, people who started late will treat others close to their age or younger as seniors if they have more experience in the field or more time in the company. it doesnt magically erase senority by age but they can happen at the same time

but I feel its always weirder for the person being called senior lol like people that dont like being treated maam/sir, for the ones saying its just a sign of respect

she basicly debuted way later in 2018 with the age of 21 and is younger than jimin. that is not weird at all.

Up10tion debuted earlier than Brave Girls, whos members debuted with 25. so despite being 5-8 years younger. 10uption is still sunbeanim to BG.

No BTS call them sunbaenim regardless of "status" in the industry. Because we go by the individual all the bs from numbers, fans, achievements none of that shit matters here all that can disappear. What's important when it comes to respectful speech etc is 1 who's in a specific industry longer,whos in the same agency or company longer. Age plays a part too but not by much here.
