I get what you mean because nct has always been 4th gen to me? I mean they started to get really big like other 4th gen boy groups around the same time even though they debuted in 2016, and now with SMs new girl group and boy group I think they will declare them 5th gen, which again is weird to me because aespa literally debuted 2 years ago? compare that to aespa and red velvet, red velvet debuted in 2014, so the gap between 3rd-4th gen is big, but now only 2 years with this new girl group? makes no sense.
Ehhhmmmm No that's not how it works lmao, people are so eager to see the 5th gen debut when 4th gen just started to cement themselves.
YG new gg is going to be 4th gen and same thing with Sm new gg , gone are the days where companies only debut 1 group per generation now days groups generate a lot of revenue so big companies are debuting multiple groups at the same time
Guess the start of 5th gen will suffer repeated delays then
