The chart is competitive these days and that song isn't top 10 material. It's a nice chill bop but there are other better songs.

It is kind of unpleasing to the ear

and to understand this song people have to hear the "Human Part 1" first

although why Lee Jieun accepted to be featured in this weak song is a question to be asked

Basically yoongi wrote this song according to what he felt like, not to have a hit.

We have to admit that most of "Eight" was written by El Capitxn, and it was a make work project for that guy. However he did a good job, and his presence is missed in this song.

To some degree. Her defeat by the hands of NewJeans seems to be quite serious , although she might have one more round of fight remaining since Kakao gained the control of SM and eliminated a big source of her sorrow.

As a DIVE, I was expecting Kitsch's reign to stop the moment this song debuted on the charts so in that regard, I'm very surprised that this hasn't hit #1 yet (purely based on the artists). That being said, it still is doing well and will likely rise anyway and it's not that bad of a song, it's cute!
