What makes a good stage performer for you?

when they engage the audience in the performance and they are not afraid to improvise on spot

If vocals are not good enough nothing really matters i mean it's music. If you are unmuting it's a different case

This is actually quite difficult to rank! You always come up with cool thread ideas, love.

I’m finding it really hard to put it all together, because I’ve seen some incredible performances where there has been no dancing, no obvious engagement with the audience - Park Hyo Shin’s live of wild flowers for example, where man even has his eyes closed the whole thing!

And, you can hear that the silence of the audience as they are so spellbound is as powerful as any hollering for a full-pelt hard dance performance!

But I’ve loved so many performances where it’s come down to the way the acts play on stage with each other or the audience and throw every last bit of aggression, or sensuality into it…

So maybe my top is interpretation?

Facial expressions/ CONNECTING with the concept

Then, vocals/rap

Engaging with audience/Energy level tied

Dance ability

Visuals

For me sounding good and having good vocals is must have.

Bad vocals = unlistenable, therefore I can't watch their stages.

I would like to add one more criteria: the way they announce their songs;

Engaging with the audience;

Energy;

Acting out of concept/improvisation;

Visuals/attractiveness and dance aability this one depends on who I am watching.

If I am watching concert of someone who is good dancer than dance but if I am watching concert of someone who stands and sings then visuals.

It depends on the song too. There are some songs they can just stand still and fill the stadium and my heart with their vocals

And there are some songs you can appreciate the dancing, team work, charisma more, vocals is a must of course

In my country they announce almost every song before they start singing. They usually have little speech that hypes the audience for example if it is male performer and he is about to sing a song that heavily relates to women they will be like "this one is for ladies" and everyone will know what song he is talking about and it builds anticipation.

That is not big part of kpop but I like soomethinglike this

If they don't introduce the song with words I like when they let few beats so it builds hype and anticipation for what is coming next.

All of them Sometimes just watching Taehyung is enough for me. He dominates the stage, like, just his presence draws attention. His facial expressions always on point. I guess that's why rookies always watch his fancams lol

1. Energy is my top 1 priority. It doesn't matter to me If someone is a great dancer/vocalist/rapper, attractive and is engaging with the audience If they look like they died at the stage and people forgot to bury the body.
