SM giving up the experimental sound : yay or nah ?

Yes and No
Their older groups have their own sound and they will follow what they like.
For NCT and Aespa, they will follow the experimental sound
For the new gg, they should do sth different or they wil step on Aespa and RV toes.
SNSD and Fx music was so different from each other and they were able to be popular at the same time.
If SM wants another gg this year, they can't do Sth remotely similar to Aespa

Please give it up, PLEASE! Experimental is just a friendly way of saying it's just some amateur songwriter making noise music devoid of a structure that helps the parts flow nicely together

I don't even get the whole experimental song genre. what are you experimenting on? an experiment does not go on for 7+ years, and half the time SM aren't making anything new. They are still stuck on the beat change they did with SNSD 5 years later. They are not revolutionizing anything anymore. They need to get a grip.

Nah, he need to kill that snake Navis first

I opted for 'mix of both'.
If SM would give up on experimental sounds and songs, then so be it, but I hope this doesn't mean they'll give up on experimenting or testing grounds in other ways.
I can understand it if companies play it safe, but personally I appreciate it more when companies - all companies incl SM - and groups try things out, break away from mainstream paths and trends and be more courageous and daring in doing things differently, incl songs.

I disagree, Snsd IGAB says otherwise. It set a trend for other idols to release such music.
And NCT has some of the best experimental music ever. If you listen to their songs like Boss, Simon Says, Limitless and Regular, you realise that they are very well produced. Better produced than many idol's music.
And don't get me started with RV PeekABoo, the heavenly Bad Boy etc
Experimental music is a cool genre than when done right, can be magical.

Experimenting is required to discover new interesting and fun things. To push music to next level, for producers to make different music, they have to experiment. That is how music from each generation sounds different. The 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s and now 2020s all having unique sounds.
