Sugar Rush Ride Is Charting High Due To Korean MOAs, Not The Korean General Public

I mean the initial charting definitely....
imo SRR is MAINLY fandom carried but there is probably a small amount of casual listening seeing as how its stabilized and is even reaching new melon UL peaks (to give an example, nct127's ULs decreased as soon as 24 hours was up and is continuing to decrease). Their b-sides definitely fandom carried fully
Thats just my opinion. Not saying its a gp hit or anything but just that there might be some casual listening from some curious people

It's heavily MOA-driven, though there is some GP activity as well. Based on some of the stats I've seen I'd guess maybe around 15-20% is GP at this point (not counting the album pre-orders, which were overwhelmingly just MOAs).
I don't see TXT's success here having much of an impact on how the general public regards other boy groups, though I suppose you never can tell for sure.

You barking in the wrong platform. Moas here don’t think that it’s suddenly end ggs. just because the album is charting well. The only people who are pushing that narrative are other fandom members who hoping for the same. Just because this album is liked by non fans don’t mean they suddenly gonna listen every boy group.
We work our ass off this comeback in every platform. But being on the top of the chart means more exposure and more potential fans since lot of people only check out songs on the charts. Who cares that it’s the fandom streaming it. It’s good for Txt, it makes them happy and that’s what Moa wants.

GP or fan-driven, does it even matter if it brings the same results? If their fandom is big enough to bypass GP-power, isn't better for the group?
I remember people were dragging New Jeans for not having a big stable fandom and said they are done if they have flopped song, but now suddenly having a big fandom is bad? y'all really pick whatever narrative you see fits to drag groups. Like just say you're jealous and go, people will understand lol.

people drag NJ because their core fan is small.
now people drag TXT because their core fan is big.

But… this is literally the same for every group/artist - it is their fandom pushing hard for streams, with a certain amount from casual fans or GP. Like, the only thing that changes is how many fans there are, or if the song goes viral/spikes GP interest.
This is the way the the music industry has been since the dawn of time (well, before streaming, it was multiple physical copies with different b-sides. But it certainly wasn’t the GP then buying copies to get a cassette tape with a B-side of some acoustic version of an unrecorded demo as the second track…!)
The music industry has always been fandom carried.
The girl groups you thinK you are ‘defending’ have fans doing the exact same thing. And!?

Still impressive nevertheless

Isn’t it for most k-pop gg as well initially? I think they are pretty good

MOA aint saying this lol it's other 4th gen bg stans hoping their faves have the same success...
And yes obviously it's mostly fandom driven but since it's reaching more listeners each day there's gotta be some non fans checking it out too or it prolly woulda been freefalling
