Speaking of names I think BGs should also be careful to not name themselves something that can be mistaken as a band

See this is exactly the problem

I thought that was a name of a GG
Oh
I also thought of Purfles as a "group I thought was a band but was actually a group" but that didn't last for that long so I didn't include them
because people like me won't watch their MVs or give attention to them thinking they won't dance

What are the bands these names are similar to?

I didn't mean they can be mistaken as similar to another band, just their name sounds like it's a k-band rather than a K-pop group
ONF is similar to Onewe though which is a band. Now that I think about it's also similar to AC/DC
And words Blitzers, Purfles just sound like a band due to being a unreal word that ends in an 's'

Now why would you think ONF is similar to Onewe when Oneus literally exists.
ONF isn't their actual name. It's just their logo. The group's name is On and Off and that's how they're introduced similar to TXT being called Tomorrow By Together.
-
In addition to Onewe. I just remembered there's a Japanese band I know as well called On/Off, they seem similar to ONF that also is sometimes written as "On/Off" in a logo picture, and has Japanese members.
Blitzers, Purfles, just sound like they make band music, it's different from other groups that end in S like "Lovelyz, Majors" (GGs). Stray Kids also sounded like a band to me, but I quickly figured out they're a k-pop group, while those 2 groups I only recently learned the truth.

They are all similar, idk just because it has the first 2 letters and at first I thought ONF might be under the same company too
I didn't know until just now that it's "on and off" (온앤오프) in the Korean name, I have heard people saying it on Road To Kingdom but I thought that was just the proper way to pronounce "ONF". Not that their name is literally "On And Off"
Isn't it still ONF as their English name, like Loona or WJSN are an English name

tbey dont sound like band names at all
maybe not, and another reason I forgot to mention is that Blitzers recent song is called Hit The Bass, ONF - Beautiful Beautiful and Moscow Moscow also really sound like the names of band songs to me (Admittedly Sukhumvit Swimming doesn't but I forgot that song exists)

Ahh. It's interesting though how you think they should be careful not to do this when you're kind of in the minority for thinking these are close to k-bands as if it's some kind of negative thing?
-
Because I believed that a lot of other people would also think this, if I was able to get this idea at all about groups I don't know much about
Personally I think that there must be at least a few other people who have thought this, but maybe it might not be a whole lot that it actually matters
Negative because of seeming to be something different and less widely appealing than what it really is
-
Uh not at all sounds like generic bg songs. And nothing about ONF screams band
