As a kpop fan, do you find people too eager to tell you about the major negative news of kpop or Korea in general?

I experienced this a few times and I saw people on twitter talk about it too.

Everytime sth negative happens in Kpop or Korea, people around them are too eager to tell them about it since they are a kpop fans.

Like when burning sun news was making it to major news outlets, some people messaged me about it. Like why is it my business?

Now same with the Itaewon tragedy.

also back in days when I was much younger, my friend who was also a kpop fan herself messaged me at 2AM just to tell me my fav is dating.
