I really respect ONEUS a lot for this

A lot of times when these sort of scandals break out, the idols just stay silent and don't say anything and move on with their lives like nothing happen. Like they literally act like they don't exist and expect fans to move on. Yeah I will name some, LE SSERAFIM, (G)I-DLE, etc. It's not their fault they are probably told to not say anything.

Or sometimes you have members that are benched because of certain scandals and companies make line no sound hoping that people forget about the scandal, and members saying skeptical stuff to hint that the member is still around. And this is worse because there will be 2 sides of the fandoms delulu-ing each other. We all know which group this is, yes it's the Lucas scandal, the members say stuff that make it so ambiguous.

I feel like this is one of the rare times where members openly speak about it and make their stance extremely clear, that the group is going to move on as 5 and ask fans to just support the 5 of them now.

  • These videos appeared on my timeline and they were like a punch in my stomach, because they reminded me of Stray Kids. I could literally picture them in those videos saying similar stuff back in 2019 in their District 9 : Unlock Tour. Anxious and stressed, afraid of being unable to bounce back and the fans would leave them. I even went back to re-watch.

    :pepe-comfy:

  • Should respect all idols in this situation. Oneus is just lucky they have a company that will allow them to talk about issues most agencies will NOT allow an idol to talk about any type of scandal past or present. Example skz and monsta x and even NCT even after everything is cleared up none of them are allowed to speak of or acknowledge that these people even exist.

Same happened with a few girl groups too.

Had rbw had zero balls trust me hwanwoong and the rest of oneus would have carried on like it was always 5

  • I'm very glad they got to speak on the matter to their fans. This has been a difficult situation for them and it's almost a catharsis moment for both the group and the fandom to acknowledge that yes it happened, yes it sucks, but we can move forward.

I wouldn't say I'm a full blown To Moon, but Oneus is a group I've liked and supported for several years now. I will continue to show up for every album they release and I wish them the best going forward as 5. :pepelove1:

  • its gonna be hard to get over when i biased ravn for nearly 3 years in addition to seoho. I wish we could get answers and the truth no matter how severe to have that closure but i dont think we, as fans, will ever get that. I would really love to know what part of all this hes guilty of. Theres so much information scattered all over the place.

Hwanwoong begging and asking fans to support reminded me also of the time hyunjun from sk broke down. Sk moved on just fine and even thriving. I wish the same for oneus.

It was easier for skz because they didn't lose anyone critical to the team like their main dancer/cheorographer or main lyrist song writer and producer=3racha now if anyone of the them left then the team would be in serious jeopardy.

But with oneus i can understand hwanwoong being very mad at him. I would too if it were me.

Ravn was the main producer songwriter etc for the group losing him can seriously end them. Hopefully they can bounce back and continue on. It will be hard to see though because whatever they make new won't have much of the original sound and image of the group. Fans may or may not adapt to the new sound. Example going from bangers like no diggity to something entirely left field might throw people off alot of those big cb songs was him sooo yeah this would be like woozi disappearing from seventeen the ramifications would be massive.

Speaking of that I think this is a weakness groups should strive to get away from. Over reliance on one member or two that is the producer of the group. That leaves you vulnerable should anything happen that puts them out of commission

  • I agree, in the case of like Noir, there's a few members capable of producing and editing while Seunghoon the leader was enlisted, but the company didn't do shit for 2 years and still isn't doing shit with the leader back. It's always good to have more than one person who is able to do things in the case of a problem. But you're absolutely right. the sound may be different, they may change entirely, which I hope not. i'm sure they could get a good producer, maybe even help from Onewe, they write and produce their own things, but onewe is starting to enlist. It's really hard to say so i guess we'll wait to see how this pans out. I hope it's not the end. With RBW acquiring ONF's label as a subsidiary they could even help as well but their sound is vastly different from Oneus. The talent is in the company it's just whether or not they will utilize it.

I don't think Stray Kids is a good example, because they spoke up multiple times about the situation, actually. First, Bang Chan wrote a letter and posted on Vapp for their fanclub. Second, they spoke up on concert. Third, the well known live:
