they’re gonna release the mv on youtube at midnight and then the whole album on digital platforms at 4pm, basically exactly what newjeans did with their debut, but without the 2-week gap in between and only 1 title track. it’s gonna be interesting to see how it pans out for sure. i remember jyp used to do the same with itzy’s dalla dalla (release the mv on youtube 2 days before digital platforms), much to initial skepticism of that strange tactic at the time, only for the song to smash and prove everyone wrong lol. i think they did that for a few more releases but those didn’t pan out as well as dalla dalla so they stopped? 🤔 i might be wrong tho

I went and looked and I don’t know what I was dreaming but it is 6PM for the Mv drop. Everything else is midnight though.

I hope they promote and perform more than the TT. I loved Blue Flame song and performances more than Fearless. I hope they perform The Great Mermaid on the HYBE NYE concert (if they have one). I skipped the ones without BTS but I would watch one with LSFM.

Only IU and BB did it recently. I wonder if only YouTube exclusive.

Before the chart changes in 2017 all songs and albums were released at midnight. Unless their was a special meaning behind releasing it any other time.

I'm guessing they're trying something new, MV drop then 16 hrs to circulate social media and build some more hype...if ppl love the song they'll all be returning at 6 pm with those who might be curious about why it's been trending all day.
