What kind of scandal would you be able to forgive an idol you like?

I don't care about dating. However, I will care if an idol is messy about it - re-gifting fan gifts to a significant other, doing lovestagrams, etc. I won't unstan but I'll just think the idol is dumb and it'll affect my opinion of them.
On a similar note, also don't care about "dumb" controversies - idols who get dragged for not knowing something historical, mis-using a word, etc. The unfortunate truth is most idols did not get proper school education, but I'm not stanning idols for their intelligence or book smarts.
Also for the most part, I am lenient on things like cultural appropriation AS LONG AS the idol/company acknowledges the mistake and doesn't repeat it. If it's a repetitive issue, it'll make me think the company is incompetent and that will also affect how I stan.
Same with drugs like marijuana tbh, I wouldn't want my idol to do it because of the serious consequences in South Korea but it's not a moral issue for me.
Things that I would unstan for: assault, drunk driving, financial fraud/scamming others, grooming minors, etc. Really needs to have serious active harm against someone else.

I'd forgive them for:
* Pretty much anything related to Korean culture (not using honorifics, not bowing enough, being disrespectful to older people and so on).
* Bullying (but only if it was a long time ago and they've grown as a person since then.
* Going out and having fun (within reason obviously).
* Dating, which I consider to be a huge non-issue.
I wouldn't forgive them for:
* CA, unless they give a very sincere apology and don't do it again.
* SA, unless it was proven false with documents to back it up.
* Ongoing bullying (repeatedly bullying someone, or doing it very recently).
* Being undeniably weird or creepy to minors/children.
* Mistreating any group members (they don't have to be best friends, but if they start having frequent fights with a ton of yelling, or get violent, then no).
* Any felonies they commit (misdemeanors, it depends on the specific crime in question).

Unless they aren't out there comming crimes, spreading hate and seriously harming other people, Its fine. I'm not unstanning.

Wise words!

Simple misdemeanors I could let slip but if it were something serious then probably not.

Anything past murder is a bit too much for me

i don´t like illigal scandals, if they break laws
i don´t mind dating scandalls at all, as long as both are single and not hurting anyone. Dating scandalls are fun...but if i see my fave dating someone i really hate, that would be sad.
i also wouldn´t like if a hidden camera would show my fave being very disrespectfull, and i don´t mean informal talking, but treating people badly.

Dating because I’m not delusional enough to think Jaehyun is just sitting at home alone eating sweet potato snacks on his couch every night. And I don’t care if he - or any idol - is dating. They’re people and they want love and affection just like the rest of us.
Smoking. They’re adults, don’t care.

forgiveable - dating
unforgiveable - I dunno murder??? lol
for all those above saying as long as it's not a crime..well criminal activities vary from country to country
weed might be criminal in korea
underage drinking is technically a crime if all parts of the world
normally those "crimes" aren't heinous enough to be deemed immoral but each person might have a different opinion
